Applying for new TRV "OUTSIDE" Canada with a valid PGWP?

Hi guys,

I finished my MS degree 2 months ago and will be getting my PGWP anytime now. I have the following question:

Is it okay to leave Canada after getting the PGWP and apply for a new TRV from my home country?

(my current study permit/TRV both expire on Aug 31, 2015 and I plan to stay in my home country for 5-6 months for vacation before coming back to find a job)

I can't afford to wait another 21 days (current processing time for new TRV), so just interested to know if it's okay to apply for new TRV from outside Canada?

TRV taking two weeks.
I have applied june 25/2015 for TRV and got passport call on June 29/2015.
