Applying for Canadian visit visa from a different country?

I am planning to apply for a Canadian visit visa and am exploring ways to speed up the processing time. I noticed that the processing time is much shorter when applying from India (31 days) compared to Bangladesh (53 days).

I came across a visa consulting firm that seems to be submitting applications from Bangladesh, but having the Canadian visa application processed in India. This allows them to get faster approvals in less than 30 days, even for applicants from countries like Bangladesh.

They claim to have gotten over 20 such visas approved this way. I checked a few of their client's passports and they did not have an Indian visit visa. So it doesn't seem like they are actually traveling to India to apply.

My question is - how does this work? Is it possible to apply for a Canadian visa without being physically present in the country of application? I couldn't find any clear information on this.

Why do you need it processed 20 days faster? Your residence is still Bangladesh.

I have several close family members asking about this, so I'd like to get some clarity. Also, who wouldn't appreciate 20 fewer days of stress?

Who says it will be processed within 30 days? The issue is that it weakens your ties by applying from India as you don’t have ties there. IRCC isn’t stupid.

Posted processing times are just estimated averages and can often be incorrect. If processed through AI can take weeks but can take months if there is a manual review so hard to estimate how long your personal processing will be. Agree much better to apply from your home country
