Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Does my spouse have to apply for medical first before being added to my plan,or can I just add to my plan as a spouse?

I guess, The spouse will need to wait for the first three months as per BC's rules and then can be added by filling the required forms.

I am not sure though.
Seniors or people who have gone through these may be able to give their kind advice.

Thanks & Regards,

AP.

Anyone....please ???

No matter what they need to live in the province for 3 months first. After 3 months, talk to your HR\benefits. They should be able to get your spouse signed onto your company benefits (including the care card.)

You can apply as soon as your spouse lands. Just add him/her to your plan, he/she doesn't need to apply separately. Coverage will begin 3 months after she lands though.

After landing, your spouse will have to wait for 3 months (actually, the BC insurance kicks in at the beginning of the third month after landing). If you don't want her uninsured for the time inbetween, you could choose a travel insurance like Blue Cross offers:
