Hi all,

My father is in the UK at the moment on a 3 week trip to visit her old school friends, he was going to return to pakistan after isr trip but we decided to try to invitehimr to canada to spend a few weeks with us and our baby before he returns to pakistan instead.

My question is;;;

1. Can he apply for a canadian visit visa from UK while he is currently in the UK as a visitor?
2. Anyone know how long the visit visas take in the UK?

1. Yes - he can.
2. Quite possibly more than three weeks (could be well over a month). I would recommend that he apply from Pakistan unless he's willing / able to extend his trip in the UK.

Thanks!

He can stay in the UK for another 2 months I believe, so hopefully the canadian visa will not take that long.

Are the requirements the same as he would be applying from pakistan for example?

Because Im sending him :\

1. A letter of invitation from me and my husband confirming the invite and the responsbility of his financial expenses while in Canada.
2. Our 2012 and 2011 notice of assesments from CRA
3. Copies of our canadian passport and PR Card.
4. My father will submit all his previous passports...showing travel history to USA, UK, China, Korea, UAE during the last 10 years and return to Pakistan.
5. My father will submit the same bank statements he used for the UK visa....he has 3 months of bank statements showing a minimum balance of 15k canadian.
6. My father will submit a job letter from the company he heads, along with land and home ownership documents from Pakistan.

Is this all okay or would we need more documents to apply from the UK?
