apply TRV within Canada and get stamping in India

Hi
My husband applied for TRV on Jan 10but He had a situation that he need to go india urgently that my father in law is admitted to hospital and his condition is serious .His file is still on process.He have valid work permit and job letter .Can he travel to India now and get his passport stamping from India
after he get his TRV approval letter
Any suggestions will be appreciated

I have similar timeline and my passport delivered at Jan 12 2021,

Have you received any update?

I heard from many its takes around 3 to 4 weeks to get stamps once your passport delivered/.

Can you provide more details how you confirm with IRCC and delhi for passport stamp in india via VFS

I have my flight next week and still no response from IRCC and no passport request for my wife TRV

I have recently submitted my TRV application on December 9, 2020 online in Canada application and since then I am waiting for update from CIC on my TRV application. And now I am in emergency and I required to travel SRILANKA I don’t have a valid travel document TRV on my passport however I got my work permit recently which is valid until November 2021 as I am waiting for my passport request for TRV I am looking to check possibilities that if I can travel to Srilanka and once I get the request can I submit MY passport to Srilankan Canadian embassy OR VFS office for TRV stamping.

Little bit about me I am Indian citizen currently in Canada on the work permit and I have applied my TRVon December 9, 2020 and waiting for TRV sticker , As well I need to travel to Srilanka for emergency reason can I travel there ( Srilanka. ). and is there any possibility that I can submit my passport for TRV request while I am in Srilanka for TRV STICKER
Do I need to give biometrics if am submitting my passport outside canada even if I have passport request letter.

@chutkij3 As far as you have the passport request letter, you can get it stamped in any VFS. The only thing you need to check is how much time the VFS is taking to process the request based on the location.

Hi, do you know what the process is if we need to get the stamping done in India (hyderabad) after getting the TRV approved here in canada. Applied for TRV on 12/22/20 but no update yet and I will have to travel to India in the next week or so. Unfortunately, I am not able to get in touch with anybody at vfs in India.

Wondering when was your old trv expiry date? My mother trv expiry is in Last week of March and wondering how far advance we can apply for new trv?

Hey I am in a dire situation and need help. This thread is the only information I could find on this subject. I have applied for trv on Jan 7 and I need to leave for India in a couple of weeks. Can I get my passport stamped from Ahmedabad or any other place in India? Is it even a thing? Or do I need to apply for it again as I specifically applied this time and selected"within canada"! Would that cause a problem? What are my options here? Please let me know if anyone has faced a similar situation recently. Thanks!
