Apply for work.permit but unemployed currently

Hello Everyone , I am applying for work permit application soon and on GC Key account they are asking for letter from current employer. I left my previous job 3 months back n not employed anywhere till now , what should I mention there. What are my visa approval chances if I am unemployed currently.. any advice will be helpful... Thanks

What type of permit are you applying and eligible for? Were you on a closed work permit.

Yes I am applying for closed work permit outside Canada

If it is closed under AIP then it is linked to a job offer. AIP is a stream that requires a job offer endorsed by a province. So you are not eligible for a closed work permit.

Yes I have a job endorsed by the province and under AIP we can apply for temporary work permit and I am applying for same work permit now after receiving my endorsement docs. My question is I am not working rt now and what do I mention in letter from current employer document and what are my temporary work permit visa approval chances if I am.not working rt now

You'll have to say you are unemployed at the present time.

I personally don't know if and how this impacts your chances under AIP. You may be better off posting that to the PNP section of the forum.
