Happy New Year everyone. I'm hoping to get some advice on the PRTD application. I LANDED ON 2019.9 and left Canada before the PR card has arrived. Now I'm planning to come back to Canada with a PRTD. However, I find some difficulties while filling out the application form. Below are my summaries:
- All activities, work, residency after becoming PR were abroad (2+ years)
- No current or permanent address in Canada
- Residency obligation CAN potentially be fulfilled in the future
- Before becoming PR I lived in Canada for 7 years. The connections to Canada I have right now are in-use Canadian bank accounts, credit cards, and a phone number
The math is obvious that I can fulfill the RO in the future. But I'm concerned about the fact that I was not in Canada for 2+ years since becoming PR will result in rejection/ delay of my application. So I hope to know that:
- Does this poses a problem for my PRTD application
- If it does, what can I do to change it (eg. show my connections to Canada or even rent a place in advance so I have a rental contract/ address?)
