EDIT: Misleading Title, I meant that I applied for a student's permit from inside Canada.
I came to Canada with a multiple-entry visitor's visa in the beginning of June. I applied for a course in Centennial College and got accepted. On June 19, I applied for a study permit via mail at the VAC in Los Angeles, did the medical when they asked me to (Aug 2), and a while ago, I received my passport (Aug 22). I haven't left the country throughout the entire process.
They approved my application to study but said that the permit will be issued "upon my arrival in Canada" by an officer of the Canada Border Services Agency. How can this be since I am already INSIDE Canada? Do I have to leave the country and fly back just to get my permit, or can I just visit one of the offices of the Canada Border Services Agency since I am already inside? What are my choices?
Also: I've already emailed my representative in Centennial and I'll call the Canada Border Services Agency about this tomorrow.
