hello folks, my hubby's police clearance has been with SAPs since Oct 13th and not yet finalized. It's the only thing holding us up from submitting our passports. does anyone know how to expedite it?

Hi, is this for South African police clearance? If so, there is a company called Doc Assist who are great at getting it within record time. tel: 012 430 2221/1 or 012 342 2933 (Pretoria) www.docassist.co.za

Yes, thank you very much @Chansa. I’ll pass along to him.

hi folks,
Does anyone know how to submit a passport to Pretoria through vsf? The address that our email specified does not match what is on vsf's site. Also, did anyone take advantage of their extra fees (e.g. courier early delivery, courier overnight and sms fees)? I can't seem to find the link for their permission form either. We need to submit from East London. Any help is appreciated.

Address cic gave:
Canada Visa Application Centre
Brooklyn Office Park,
1109 Jan Shoba Street,
Brooklyn, Pretoria,

Address on vsf site:
Canada Visa Application Centre
Cherry Lane Office Park,
1st Floor, 114 Fehrsen Street, Nieuw Muckleneuk,

Hi, use the address that's on VFS website. cherry park lane. The one on the PPR from Pretoria has not been updated.

I used DHL to deliver to vfs then got vfs to courier back to me (they used FedEx) pay the fees and let them send it back to you. You will get a tracking number from vfs to track your passport etc.

I just saw that my CIC profile has been updated to say "Decision Made"!

I also received a pre-arrival letter on Wednesday.

Hope this is good news :)

Congratulations! You will probably get PPR next week. Same happened to me and I received the PPR within the week. Go get your photos taken in the meantime

Thank-you @Chansa.

Congratulations on receiving your PR! I noticed on your timeline you submitted your passport on the 20th and got your passport back on the 10th. Does that timeline include submission to VFS or do you mean the visa office received it on the 20th?

Thank you!

I got the passport request today. I'm just unsure about how to complete a section on the Annex A form. It asks you to fill in the name, surname, height and eye colour for yourself and everyone accompanying you to Canada, but there's a space for your spouse's details. I'm the PA and applied as a common law spouse. Does this mean that I only fill in my own details or should I add my spouse (sponsor's) details as well?

And is this Annex A form the one that you're supposed to submit with your passport? Or is there a different one?

I am sending my passport in this week and need to get it back by the 20th since I need it to travel ... so I don't want to get it wrong.

@michimoo, Annex A is for you and those accompanying you to Canada on the application. So, there's no need to add your spouse (sponsor).

Does anyone know which number to phone for visa-related enquiries in Pretoria?

I received my COPR (confirmation of PR document) and the immigration visa in my passport. And I got my passport back in time for our trip to Canada this weekend!

But now I'm wondering if I should use my immigration visa and COPR to enter Canada for our holiday trip (it's only for 10 days) or my temporary residence permit (travel visa - was issued last year and is still valid). And I'm asking because the immigration visa is valid for a single entry only. After that, I'll need my PR card to enter. And the PR card will be mailed to an address in Canada and arrives about 2 months after landing in Canada. By then I'll be back home.

We're immigrating to Canada early next year. The trip we're doing now is just to visit family and friends for Christmas.

I've seen some threads where people say you can do a "short landing", but I just need to make sure. I don't think VFS will have the answers and I don't know how to reach the embassy.

I appreciate any advice :-)
