Applications processed in Pretoria

So just some, hopefully helpful, information for those who are still waiting for their visa.

My file was received in Pretoria on 2 September, got an AOR2 message on 8 September, they took a look at my file on 13 November (based on my GCMS notes) where they were satisfied that my relationship is genuine and my police certificate is legit. They also started my Security background checks on 13 November and till now it is still being checked. Apparently the time-frame for this step can vary drastically depending on the person. So I guess I should just wait and hope for the best.

Even though I am not family stream thought I would share this:

I received an e-mail from CIC with UCI and Ep number stating that my application is complete and that it will now be placed into processing.

Still cant seem to log onto the online system with UCI number, might be that they are still loading it online.

Hopefully my file will get transferred to PTA in the next month or so.

Still no news from my side unfortunately. I was just wondering MissSA and Zaara if you know what date Pretoria actually started looking at your application. Mine was 13 November based on GCMS notes that I received. Do either of you know. Thanks for the help guys. Hoping to see something positive soon.

Sorry to hear that but I'm sure you will hear from them soon.
Regarding to your question.. I don't really know when they started looking at my application but on the online site in my profile, it said we started your application on the 30th of July.
Anyways I hope you hear from them soon and I'm sure things got a little delayed with all the holidays. So stay positive and have faith xxx

Hi MissSA, yeah I hope its just a delay because of the holidays. I guess I got excited when I saw yourself and Zaara getting your visas so quickly, but I guess compared to others I'm not really even late yet. I'll stay positive then.

I have applied to CIC for PR visa and my file should get transferred to PTA VO. Does anyone know if I will be informed if the file gets transferred or will I only receive MR from PTA?

I'm not sure about the process for you. For a family application you are sent a second AOR once the application arrives in Pretoria. I would assume the process would be similar for your application. Maybe someone else on the forum can assist?
