hi to everyone,

I emailed the Buffalo visa office yesterday to follow-up my application, and i they replied this morning, this is their reply:

Your file is in a queue awaiting initial assessment. This could take up to 64 weeks from the date we received the application.

Canadian Consulate General Buffalo

Immigration Section

buffalo-im-enquiry @ international.gc.c

And they gave me a file number. Does this mean i already have my 2nd AOR.

If you got the file number from Buffalo and if its different from the file no. provided to you frm Sydney, Nova Scotia, then that's the 2nd AOR. They should acknowledge it by email. I wonder why they didn't do in ur case.

yes, it's different file number from the one i had from sydney, NS. That is also what i'm waiting for. Well at least i know they got my application and will be on process.

Hi bing1027,

Congratulations for the big relief :) You r safe now :D

The different file number which u received is the Visa Office file number and u should quote this file number in all future correspondence with your VO.

All the Best

No Worries dude!!

I am still in India for another 10 days...cant wait to get back and ship out my passport!!

Thanks everyone for the replies.

Hi all! I got my passport yesterday in mail with the Immigration stamp. I will be going today to Niagara border to do the landing...is there anyone who has done a landing like being in Canada and getting the PR Status?
I am so happy that it all worked out and it happens to be my Bday as well! All with God's graces.

Special thanks to great pals here - Professional1, Markcan, Pasi, Honolulu, garian4u, beauhoe, jattu1980, canadacanada, jstar, Smallduck. I am sure to have forgotten some names...my apologies. It`s been a great help getting to know your experiences and relating it, having valuable updates on each other definately helped the patience going!

I am in toronto and now with a PR status, wud be looking to change my job; being on a closed Work permit made me bonded somehow. I feel so good and its like refreshing memories when i first landed here on a study permit 4 years back :)

My best wishes to all who are seeking updates on their applications. Experiences here definately brings in knowledge and adds to each patience's level. I wish everyone a great career/future in Canada!

Congratulations Anil_Toronto :)
