Yes, I have my PhD and applied as a university professor. My file got transferred to Detroit in (Oct 2009) after sitting with Buffalo for a whole year (Since Nov 2008). Processing got delayed since I was asked to submit some additional documentation, which I did. I am now waiting for the medicals and subsequent processing any day now.roopa82 said:thanks mpapdp.1984........one thing more....u r in 4121 category...i think university professor.....have you done phd...and also to which location your file is transferred....r u done with medical

My timeline:
App to CIO-S: May 2009
App + Docs to Buffalo: October 2009
File Transferred to Detroit: April 2010
Just wondering if anyone with similar time line have had their files transferred to Detroit or any other Visa Office recently. I know a few of the regulars on this thread (e.g. Pro1) has similar time line to me.
Also, for those who've had their file transferred to Detroit in 2010: any idea how long it takes them to start processing?
Congrats. I'm trying to figure out why some files move faster than the normal timeline. I think it has something to do with noc. Computer technicians or accountants move faster, I guess.rahmanrahat said:Just got an email from buffalo today: they have transferred my file to Detroit for "faster processing".
