I think these email is prepared to sent to all of us (more than 64 week). The officer has to write date on the place.

Try it. It has worked in few cases. You may wish to read "Can I have a medical exam done in advance to speed up my application?" on http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/buffalo/visas/medical-medicaux.aspx?view=d#Advance

Cheers..

The rest of the processing after Meds is pretty fast. The important milestone is receiving the letter that they don't need any further documents.

They increased the processing times again, This time to 21. Now I cannot expect anything from Buffalo this year. Hopefully something will come for me next spring.

Cheers.

My attorney believed that I could get the MR in 2011. My 2nd Aor is later than yours, mine is in Nov. I think you could also get your MR this year.

Not for sure, just pray for good luck for us~

Also, this is the office hour of Buffalo Office:

Monday: 08:00 – 16:00
Tuesday: 08:00 – 16:00
Wednesday: Closed
Thursday: 08:00 – 16:00
Friday: 08:00 – 16:00

They only work 4 days a week and 8 hours a day including their lunch time. Moreover, the post 6.26 cases have big priorities.

They change the game rules anytime they want.

That's why our cases are so slow...

Hi Moein,
Could you please tell me what BF'D means? Is it the most important part in Caips or what??
Thanks and best wishes for your application.

Hi Vermas,

I requested Caips in April. I got two reports, none of them are similar to Caips that usually people got. But both have details of my applications(received in End of June). I could not find any BF'D on them, I call them and the sent me a new notes that have BF'D on it and nothing changed. I got both report by Postal mail.

There is no information on Caips, just only your application information, RCMP check, additional doc req., all your case specific inquiries,...

The first significant stage of processing is 'paper screening', this is identified often by the initials "PPS" (e.g. "73 AT PPS" means 73 points at paper screening stage).

Pro1 or any other senior in this forum, can you please help with my following question:
I and my wife had completed landing formalities at Vancouver on 16th May and had returned back to the US then. Subsequently we permanently migrated to Toronto on 2nd June and have had a permanent address in Toronto since then. Since, there was a CanadaPost strike for almost the whole of June, so as not to complicate matters we did not update our addresses with CIC. My PR card was received at the Vancouver address (which we gave while landing) by 18th July, but my wife's wasn't. After waiting 2 more weeks when we contacted the CIC call centre, they said that there was a problem with my wife's photograph and hence the PR card couldn't be processed. They would send a letter with next steps to the local Vancouver office. On calling back next time, they said that her case was transferred to the local Vancouver office on 22nd July 2011 and Vancouver office will send a letter by 23rd September with further instructions. That's way too long. My wife needs to travel outside Canada during Oct-Nov and needed the PR card to come bac inti Canada.
QUESTION:
1. Is it advisable to file for an address change now to our Toronto address? Or will it further complicate matters?
2. Supposing, we let it stay at Vancouver, would she need to personally visit the Vancouver office with the photographs? How long will it take after that? CIC call centre said maybe 4-5 weeks, but we don't trust their words.
3. Since, we had used Temporary Travel Documents once already when coming to Toronto, would my wife be issued another Temporary Travel document? i.e. if she does travel out of Canada in Oct-Nov as planned and wants to come back (since she will not have the PR card then). Or are there going to be complications or impossibilities?

Please advise
