If I am not wrong then If you have more than 10k $ equivalent (inr cash & FD, Stock, canadian $) then you have to inform them

and for 3 person we need more than 17K CAD so we must inform them anyway.

Is it correct?

You can take as much as you like with you, but if you carry more than $10k in cash, you must inform them.

What is the global population ratio of all the races again?
What constitutes the actual minority nowadays?
What compelled Canada and some other nations to seek immigrant population from various "other races"?
In what way has immigration changed the demographics of Canada and other nations in the west?
And what does it all portend for the future?
Food for thought!
I see where you are coming from but unfortunately, if we take it country by country, we still have minorities.

Whether we like it or not, we will be minorities in Canada.

Lucky for the Indians, Philippinos and the Chinese because they have formed huge communities in Canada and they are so important at any election that the government will always court their favour.

The demographics are changing but it still has a long way to go.

In the past majority of immigrants were from Europe, USA, Asia, Carribbean + Central + South America, Africa and Oceania in that order.

Now it is Asia, Europe, Carribbean + Central + South America, Africa, USA and Oceania.

Unfortunate experience for you, but you will find that some people do want employees of a certain race, for example in Richmond, BC I've been on site to companies that have entirely Chinese staff. I think it's more "culturism" than racism per se - people like working with others of a similar culture and assume if someone is of a different race, they have a different culture too. I'm not saying it's acceptable at all, the guy sounds like an ass, but my point is that there's probably more to it than "this guy hates X race". I could be wrong of course.

There are so many immigrants over here in Canada that it really becomes a non-issue anyway. When you get immigrants hiring immigrants the problem pretty much disappears. I'm sure your skills will be warmly welcomed here.
That's why I'm not generalizing.

I'm just highlighting a specific situation that people may encounter. We just need to be prepared.

At the same expo, I was well received by others.

The question is if CIC approves your immigration application on the basis of your work experinece, academic qualifications and standard of English of French, why are these not recognised when you get to Canada? I can understand the issue with certified professions but it shouldn't take 4 years for a surgeon, who has performed numerous surgeries in the UK, to get his qualification recognised in Canada. Are they saying that Canadian human physiology is different from the rest of the world?
Let me tell you what I thought about that issue
Once you get there with recognized qualifications then what is remaining>>>> Job >>> then a direct load on labor market.
Once you get there with unrecognized qualifications>>> get a survival job>>>> pay money for rent >>> accommodation and real estate sector activated >>>>> and work on qualification recognition >>> Study >>> no direct load on labor market as most will get low salary >>>
just my understanding for that issue
Thanks

Hi, thanks for sharing your story.

Alas, racism and prejudice exist pretty much everywhere, it is only the extent and the severity which differ!

For our point of view we didn't consider being caucasion would serve as any particular advantage. However, being a native English speaker and having a permanent residents visa in a profession which is not currently on the FSW1 list (since my spouse is PA) I had thought may give me a competitive advantage over other software developer immigrants looking for work.

Well I will be diving into the Canadian job market in a few months' time, so I will report back here with my findings when I do!

Wayne.
I'll be waiting expectantly for your findings.

Dear All,

After 28 days of agonising wait after my E-Case application status changed to Decision Made and after sending a case specific query, an email and a letter to ND VO, finally by Almighty God Jesus Christ ‘s grace we got our visa stamped passport back.

The visa was stamped on 15-July- 2011 and dispatched on 19th July -2011 not sure what exactly caused the delay but I’m happy and thank the almighty for safely delivering or visa stamped passports and COPR just in time

Thanks a lot for your wishes, prayer and guidance during my journey to get the dreamed Canadian PR.

Almighty God Bless you all with speedy visa processing and bless you with blissful life in Canada.

If you need any further info please PM me.

Warm Regards

Dear Prashant,
I can understand ur anxiety....but the thing iis ur asking same question again n again for which u already got reply.

First clearly tell what ur stauts is showing.....whatever details u given above is what u see when u click the staus...Status is either CIO Review Complete or Recieved by Visa office....if it is CIO Review complete then ur file hasnt reached the VO...n if it is Recieved by Visa office then.....then VO might have sent 2AOR which ur agent might have recieved n not telling u..

and the ""We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on March 22, 2011."is email which CIO sends to email address mentioned in application form.
