ATTENTION APPLICANTS:

SOmething is wrong...many applicants(from different VO)are claiming that their address has just disappeared from today(21 july 2011)...pls check your E-cas immidiately :o
something is wrong because we were hoping to get good news ....but if all applicants got address disappeared then it's just CIC's system update ??? :'(

regards,
Dr.Hasib
CIC is most probably updating their system...

If you check carefully you will find that, "Identification type" section was previously at the middle portion of the page but now it's on the top right corner. Another thing is that when selecting the type of Identification you will find "client identification number/Unique client identifier"..previously it was only "client identification number"

source: https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/authenticate.do?app=ecas

that's it...there is no hope/good news for us :-[ :(

Dr.Hasib

My interview is scheduled for Aug 25, 2011 -- 34 days from now. Anyone here who got (or knows someone who got) his/her CAIPS notes through a relative/friend in Canada? I am just trying to assess whether I will be able to get it before the interview date if I apply through a relative/friend. I have a friend who can do it for me but I'll have to send a signed document to him -- which will take 3-4 days to reach him; so only 30 days will be left for me to get the CAIPS notes. Is it possible or too tight??

It's unlikey that I will get the CAIPS notes before the interview date if I apply through an agent as the shortest time quoted to deliver is upwards of 35 days.

I wonder why is everyone so desperate to go to Canada. I mean we all want to go there for a better life, and better future of our children, but what is the hurry. Why are people checking e-mails / e-cas 20 times a day and stuff like that.

The very fact that all of our in this forum, means we are (mostly) FSW1 applicants, which means we DO NOT have job offers. What we do have is experience in one of the trades, that the Government feels need people.

What i know, and have heard from friends and family in Canada is that the unemployment rate in Canada is at an all time high (no wonder the caps on immigration are in) and CAD at this point being stronger than USD is not helping the economy either.

I personally feel that the decision to move to Canada, on a long term, is quite good. However this might not be the right time to move.

Hence sit pretty, have patience and it would happen when it has to happen. Later the better

If thats the scenario then I will be very surprised that how can they leave just my address there and wipe off the rest.

Hi Rohan,

Is your address still showing in your ECAS?

Well said. I just want to get over with the process so that i can focus my attention on other things.

I do not intend to land in Canada till the very last days of the visa's validity.

I hardly go on ecas because I have been informed it isn't always accurate.

I'm moving to Canada to settle my family there. I want them to be safe and to have a higher quality of life.

For me, I'll be working around the world,in countries where I already have strong professional ties.
