Dear canadestin, thanks for your reply, I contacted 2 persons who got NER, both of them had already their client ID by calling CIO.....the first one said: after 3days receiving his NER email the status changed to Decision made, the second one said: he got NER email and the status changed from CIO received to ER complete and it remains till today...

My problem is how come I didn't receive any any email since my status has changed to ER complete...and it is more than a month.....in case I've got PER it should be already changed to Received By VO.....I am 100% sure that I didn't receive any other email from CIO....I am really confused now..

per means "CIO- Eligibility Review Complete"...( UR APPLICATION IS ELIGIBLE)...the file number which u got is nothing but PER...without file number u cant check ecas...right? after PER ...the visa office will send email or mail that is what we call 2 AOR.

Hi Mari1981,

Just a quick question as you are considering for CEC.

How better is timeline for CEC ?. I think you need to apply for bufffalo rite and am not sure how they process this file.

Thanks,

Pradeep

Buffalo Applicants,

Is there anyone that has passed 20 weeks since Buffalo received your application? According to their website you are entitled to send them an enquiry if you haven't got any news.

http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/buffalo/imm/processing_times-delais_traitement.aspx?lang=eng

Just wondering if you will just get the standard reply back. Mine was received by Buffalo, I beleive, in February so I can't ask yet. Anyone got RBVO in December January and has not heard from them?

To be honest I have no idea. According to their website it should be very faster than FSW. But some people say that if your status is RBVO it is not worth to apply for CEC.
Under CEC category you will scape Sydney stage. Probably the background check is shorter because they only requirement is:
- 2 years Canadian work experience ( which is easy to prove and easy to investigate for them from a Canadian employer rather than foreign work experience)
- Ielts test result ( no investigation is required)

The medical and police check should be same.May be they compromise a little bit for police check as they know you are already living in Canada at least for 2 years.

But I don't know about the waiting line. If we have to wait behind all other applicant's it is not worth it :(

I received my 1st file number on Jan 5th but my status changed to RBVO on March 25th. Which date I should consider to count?

Any news from us forgotten London applicants?
I'm afraid for our part, we are still RBVO since March.
We have swapped our focus to my husband's LMO renewal, which should deliver a decision on Tuesday and we expect there to be no reason to reject it, so then I am going to Canada regardless of what is happening with FSW. Taking a chance, maybe, but life is too short to let bureaucracy dictate every day.
Heaven knows what they are doing with our applications at London, but life must go on and we must do the best we can with the days and try not to just become mired in the despair of waiting and waiting.
Best wishes for news to everyone pre-Christmas who is still waiting.

Hi, Queencougar

Unfortunately we are still RBVO, i hope ECAS doesnt give us updated information. Still trying to be positive. And hope for the best !!

Best of luck to all of us ;)
