Dear Seniors, kindly advise me,

As i told you before, my application was received by CIO on 20 April for NOC 7216, , till now I did not receive any email or letter from CIO...

I sent them an email and I just got the following reply:

"RE: APPLICATION # E0000xxxxx

Please be advised the application is currently awaiting review. You will be contacted in due course.

Thank you,"

Please what does this mean???? is it positive? is this a file number?? why they are saying "awaiting review"??

Thank you so much

Hi April20,

Yes this is your file no. As you can see from the spreadsheet there are a few members who have applied in Dec. 2010 and are still awaiting any reply from CIC.

I think you should wait for some more time. Now you can check the status of your file on ecas. Best of luck.

Thanks

Kittu

Suddenly things have slowed down this week. Are salaries of CIC staff handled by Canada Post? ;D

Hi Kohlapuri,

Not only the CIC and VOs staff I was just thinking that our forum members have also slow down. Perhaps we are tired of this wait which has exhausted us of all energy. I have noticed that many of our regular members have slowed/disappeared since few days.

I wish good luck to all of us.

Thanks

;D Hi Kittu,

I don't think the older members have disappeared, we're all still keeping an eye on the proceedings. We just don't have any new information to share at the moment. We are going through a collective dry spell at the moment! :P

Dear all,

just for my info, they don't send a file number if it is NER case?

I mean if it is NER there will be no E-case showing ER Complete???

Thanks,

Hi April20

Congrats for the PER.

To answer your question - they do issue a file no. even if it is a NER and ecas shows - ER Complete.

I hope this helps.

Thanks

Kittu

Hi guys, I received passport request today, which came with my original application files. My eCas Status is still "In process". When will it change to "Decision made" or "Visa granted"?
By the way, I completed my medical examination on 03 May and sent all requested documents to VO 10 May. VO received my medical examination results on 02 Jun and added "Medical results received" into my detailed eCas status.

I was just wondering how many days I should stay in Canada to receive permanent resident card? Is it normally as long as 40 business days?

Another question is, can I land in Vancouver for the first time as I wrote in my application and then land in Toronto next time and live there from then on?

Thanks.

Hope all of us will have good news this month. ;D
