"" If your application will be processed through China, India, the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan or the UK, you might receive information and an invitation letter from CIC about free in-person assistance. In order to participate in this service you will require an invitation letter from the CIC mission which will be sent to you during the later stages of the immigration process if you are determined to be eligible for it.""

Hi Amro,

Your friend can land alone, even if he claimed the Visa with his family. After that, if his wife (with or without children) want to come :

- If her Visa is still valid : she will normally land and become PR ;
- If her Visa is not valid : she will have to ask for a new departure Visa as a PR, saying that her husband is already there.

I hope it will help…

Thanks john thanks a lot but what if they refused to give her another visa or what if she didn't land at all will this affect the principle applicant as he is afraid that they refuse to give her another visa and this may affect his residency in canada

thanks a lot for your help

Hey Amro. Hope u r fine. :)

As far as I know, after landing there won't be any principal applicant and accompanying applicant. Each individual will then be considered a permanent resident independent of others. Anyone who has granted the PR visa but fails to land in time or to stay in Canada for the required period of 2 in 5 yrs will then lose their PR status and this won't affect the PR status of other family members.

Whoever loses the PR status is required to reapply for PR in case he/she wants to live in Canada as a PR. Means the whole process again,either this way or through sponsorship by the spouse.
