hi guys , can any body from Damascus visa office answer my question regarding v/o application .
in addition to list A , there is additional information list , is that also required to be filled and sent with the application or not ? i mean travel history and army questioner .
i didn't since all of this info. were in the CIO application !

doc't worry I had the same situation and I managed to receive the PER,they will ask you if it is needed in future although I sent it to them in Damascus when I received my PER and my documents were received by VO

Hi CB

Not sure It is advisable to ask for the Passport at this Stage. You may give them n number of reasons (in this case Memo, or Travel Booking details), the VO interprets by his/her own whims and wishes, as fas as
the OP6 handbook provided to them, there is no specifics on this type of situation (as far as I remember).

It is better to wait for a while and not let them think that it's just an excuse for faster processing (you know what I mean).

Sure, let the VO know about your upcoming abroad trip where Passport is required back. Open a case-specific request and try to fax & call them as well.
Hopefully, you will get it stamped VISA soon before you actually need it !

Advice needed.

I have deposited by PPT to ND VO on 29th March 2011. BFD marked on my medical request letter was 9th April 2011. Now, I have been informed by my company that our Board Meeting is scheduled on 18th May out of country. Since I am one of the board members, it is very important to attend the meeting. Also I am required to travel to foreign country for training in the month of June.

Now, I am in dilemma what to do now. Should I write to NDVO about my circumstance. Will it be advisable to ask for passport at this stage as I donot want to risk my immigration process.

Pl advice.

Is it mandatory to mention the PO Box number ( PO Box: 5209 ) in the address (Canadian High Commission, Immigration section, 7/8 Shantipath, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi,-110021 ) ? As Blue Dart courier person told me not to mention so that it will be handed over to designated person in immigration section.

It isn't mandatory to mention PO Box # but there is no harm mentioning it. I included PO Box # in the address and it was safely sent across to CHC in New Delhi. I also sent it through Blue Dart.

Since you're at the final stage of your processing, you're so near yet so far. :

But, keep in mind that any kind of request from your side to get the Passport back can hamper and delay your PR prospect more than any stage you've been till now. Although, you should not let the PR process affect your Board Meeting, I would advise to let the CHC keep your Passport till the time you know you can let them.

Do you have the Visa for the country where you have the Board Meeting in? If Yes, then you can probably wait till the 11th of May (1 week before the meet) before you approach the CHC for your Passport. If however, you do require the visa then I would suggest you approach the CHC on the 4th of May (i.e. 2 weeks before your meet).
