HI ALL

Ok 2 things

1) I have done an audit of the first 100 rows of the spreadsheet, and have marked in red anyone who has not posted on the thread for 1 month or more. Please post here in the next day or two to de-red yourself otherwise your entires will be moved to the inactive users sheet.

Wayne.

Hi,
My last post was on 9th february. But I am still in red. I am not posting here regularly because there is nothing to update from my side. MY e-CAS status message displays in process since 26th Jan.

But yes I will definitely like to mention that you and all those who are maintaining spreadsheet are doing really great job. Thank you.

Hi All,
Our application status has changed to "Received_by Visa Office ". Please update accordingly. Also cannot access the ND spreadsheet Please grant access. I have sent a request.

Thanks

2) I have added another column for eCAS Status Date Last Updated. Whenever someone changes someone's status, please put the date you change it :) I have added some of the dates based on member's posts for the first 100 that I have been auditing (will get the rest of the dates on there as I get time to do it).

I will try to get the rest of the audit done later, it's rather time-consuming so I am only proposing to do this once every 2 or 3 weeks or so.

Have a nice day.

Wayne.

what??? i sent my comments regarding change or the eCAS status may be 2/3 days back... how can you turn be red :O

I think you need to rectify the spellings of my user name; it's ammaartahir and not ammartahir

Dear Indira / Anil /Wayne,

I want to know that after completeness check CIO encash BD/CC. Then they go to eligibility phase ( at CIO level) where they calculate points (67). Here i want know how CIO confirm/verify about university authorization at different country ? Lets say XYZ..University in India is recognized under law / university Grant Commission or not ? If i am not wrong then it must be done at VO level ?

Please put your input on it .

Regards,
Mayank

Yes. My name is also different on spreadsheet. It is only Jignesh instead of Jignesh79.

Dear mchoudhury,
you must know that besides OP 6, CIC also have an Instruction guide EG7. i can ensure you that in June 26, 2010 CIC updated their instruction guide where it was clearly stated that only General training IELTS will be accpted.
If you check the current rules about IELTS, you will find that IELTS is valid for 2 years though it was 1 year when we sent our application. This change took place in 23 rd Dec, 2010. You can get this on EG7 pdf guidebook and on the following link
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/index.asp
Important thing is, CIC didn't update this on OP 6 manual just like before. latest document checklist was updated before 23 dec,2010 and still shows validity of IELTS is 1 year(though actually it is 2 years)
CIC doesn't update their all links/manuals/booklets/forms at a time and this is what confuse us.

regards,
Dr.Hasib
I'm afraid I must agree. All through the prep of our app, the instructions stated General IELTS was the only acceptable test. I have never seen anything else stated for post June 26th.
The only issue here is how long it as taken for CIO to alert applicants that their Academic test is not acceptable and for that, I sympathise with mchoudhury, but it would be an error to tell CIO that the rules when he applied accepted Academic IELTS because they did not.

Hi there,
I went to an information session about living and working in Canada yesterday. It was organised by the International Job Center in Brussels and given by a visa specialist from VO Paris, France. Although most of it was already known to people of this forum, I managed to confirm one bit of information and learned something new, both of which I want to share with you.
I'm afraid it will only make the few of us who are FSW2 here happy but of course I wish our FSW1 friends all the best.

1. The visa specialist confirmed that, once the applications reach VO, FSW2 are treated with higher priority then FSW1.

2. Also, and this is new to me but maybe not to the forum, FSW2 can apply for a Temporary Work Permit while waiting for news on their Permanent Residency. Apparently, a TWP only takes an average of 7 weeks to obtain. Medicals for the PR can be taken in Canada. Of course, there is some risk to this as there is the odd chance you get refused because of your (family's) medicals and you are left with only your one year TWP... Also, what I don't know is whether your file is then transferred to Buffalo, since they treat all applicants that are already in Canada. This could of course cause additional delay but as I said, I am not sure of this (there were a lot of people and I wasn't the only one asking questions :))

Since there aren't too many FSW, us being treated in priority shouldn't cause too much of a delay for our FSW1 friends.

Keep up the good work on the forum, soon we'll reach 1000 pages!!
Cheers, Kris
This is indeed most welcome news and confirms what I posted on this thread earlier this week.
It is also good that this has come from a VO official and that you have confirmed that.
Thanks for the post, Kris!
To encourage Cat 1s, I am sure that the processing of your apps will not be much affected by ours being treated in this way - there are so few of us, it will hardly make a difference!

hey Cuppicino

Please add my particulars to spreadsheet as well.. i have mentioned it on Page 967 thread of mine

Thnx

i think this WAKA WAKA user is a fake one and should be deleted it just came to give us such a lie and then go to hell

Please remove all the people that are not in the due course of the CIO updating

Amro

I wonder when my PER will come. :'(
