Applications after 26/6 in any NOC CONNECT HERE TO GET THE STATUS

i just received a letter saying

" Your application was received after the maximum of 1000 complete Federal Skilled Worker applications per NOC 1122 was reached."

this was the letter i was dreading to receive. all hopes are shattered.

If you are serious about emmigrating to Canada there is nothing to stop you. It means things are a little more difficult in that you have to secure a job offer first. This means getting a job offer with a positive LMO and then applying from within Canada whilst working under a temporary work permit, but from what I have heard of people who have done it, it is not that difficult. The employer has to have been advertising the job for 2 weeks or more during the last 3 months. Or if you can find a company prepared to wait for your residents status to come through you can try to secure an AEO and apply from outside Canada.

Do some research, send off CVs. If you can apply to a global company you may even be able to secure job interviews in your own country rather than having to fly to Canada.

Or, you can just wait a little over 6 months and re-apply on 1st July 2011 under Category 1 again. This time you can have everything ready. Your IELTS results, assuming you didn't take the exam prior to 1st July 2010, will still be valid. Although there's no guarantee that NOC 1122 will still be on the list, the previous list of 38 occupations was available for around 2.5 years so there's no reason to think that CIC will definitely change it in July.

My lawyer has suggested that i wait till July to see if the same category reappears... thats the only hope. Will have to wait and see.

I inquired about my application & that was the answer i received after 4 days:
I specifically asked about whether i passed the completeness check? Or eligibility review. I also noted that i haven't yet received any acknowledgement of receiving my application.

I know that it is still not my turn, but it's hard to wait so thought i might get lucky & find out something earlier. Unfortunately, They didn't confirm anything.

Your application is waiting for review by CIO officer. You will get AOR. You can relax that your application already got an file no with B..... which indicate that your application initially pass the completeness check and now turn to eligibility check by CIO before sending AOR to you. Just give time to them they will inform you.

I also got same mail from CIO in response of my query to CIO and got my AOR after that.

Hi. Well 6 months goes by pretty fast. And you can work your timelines out so that your application is 100% ready to post on 1st July 2011 and be right at the front of the queue. As I said there is no guarantee that NOC 1122 will still be on the list, but it's fairly likely that the list will remain unchanged for at least another year, and even if it is changed 1122 may not be dropped so you may still be ok.

Hi katy,

Send a mail to CIO mentioning your details. If you get answer showing "No record found in our office", Dont be panic.

I send a mail to CIO on 2 dec and got reply on 7 dec 10 that no record was found in their office. I send second mail to CIO to know about my status of application, This time they reply with a file number & told that my application is currently under review. I get this reply on 9 dec 10.. I finally get PER on 14 dec 10.

So dont loose your hope, Good news will certainly come to you.

I would like to congratulate those who have received their AORs.
For the rest of us, I believe we have to be more patient. It is winter in Canada and in Canada, it does snow heavily. On days when the snowing is really bad, many workers stay at home and that includes CIC employees. You have to factor in flu etc as well. We should expect a slightly slower pace of processing between now and the end of March. Hopefully it won’t be too much.

The process of review before AORs are issued goes through 3 phases.

1. The initial checks when applications are received leading to processing of payment.
2. The eligibility review which leads to issuance of AOR’s.
3. The final check before AOR’s are actually issued.
The final review is to check if the decision is actually correct. Any application which has queries would be further checked before issuance of AOR. This is why some people with later application reception dates receive their applications before earlier applicants.
With this in mind, if you haven’t received your AOR and people who applied after you have received theirs, relax because your AOR will arrive, if there are no problems.

I believe the CIC are already reviewing October applications but the remaining August and September applications are going through final checks.

Hi Katy,

Well current projects based on the number of 3131 apps received by CIC so far and projecting that average per day across the rest of this year, 3131 won't even reach the 1000 cap although it will be close.

Now even if that projection is wrong it is very unlikely that 3131 will fill up before April/May at the earliest.

My advice is to apply this year if you possibly can, since we have no guarantee that NOC 3131 will still be on the in-demand next year (although personally I think it will be on there).

I was going through spreadsheet. As per our spreadsheet till now minimum time required to get PER is 106 days after application being reached at CIO. So today you have entered the "Blue Channel" ( i.e your countdown of getting PER has started and u may receive PER at any time from today onwards). Our Blue channel is from 106 days to 143 days. (Turning Blue by receiving PER). So dear members who have not received PER and are in Blue channel should not get panic. As they have all the possibility of getting PER's.
