TNT is known as the best and fastest courier in my country. Actually, I had no problem with them the previous time. Inspite of the fact that it was almost in destination, they brought it back to me. Nothing went wrong ,and I was very thankful that they managed to return it to me again from Canada. That's why I didn't even think about other couriers this time.
Dont worry, nothing will happen.Generally courier services don't open the package if it is "document"

If you have no idea about whether your CC/BD has been encashed I would suggest you send the CIC an email to find out about your application. There have been applications that have been returned due to a lack of birth certificates. I'm not sure if marriage certificates suffice, maybe some else could give you a better idea about this. All the best.

Thanks GOD. My application kit has come back to Ukraine. The reason of being rejected - birth certificate was not included.

What a relief!!!

I wanted to remind you that now you should include PCC with your application, if possible. It may delay your second try, but may shorten the processing in the future. So it is up to you, but if it is not difficult and lengthy to obtain PCC, I would suggest you include them. Your NOC is still well below the cap. Good luck, I am sure you will make it this time.

Sometime ago I posted the link to the Q&A from CIO. It was written there:
Q. Could CIO accept 10th standard school leaving certificates in lieu of birth certificates and for names for Indian applicants born before 1980 as currently done by Visa office?

A. The CIO has received information from the visa office in New Delhi about the various documents that might be submitted instead of a birth certificate. If applicants do not have a birth certificate, they may submit another document with a written explanation that it is a substitute for a birth certificate.

I would like to remind also that this info is dated Nov 19, 2010

Thanks Silent, Raj04, Avi_15, Kathe, Anil, Canady, Asaif, Wayne, & Westumped for the wishes. Must admit that I had a few nail biting days!

Cheers.

I must admit though the rate of the PERs considering they've supposed to have been doing them for several months now is still alarmingly low.

When I saw 8 after the first 2 days I thought "4 per day on our list, means we might get ours in around 12 days or so". Now I am thinking we'll be very lucky to get one before Christmas!

Ah well, nothing to do but wait, but I'll feel much better if we pass our eligibility review.

Dear piznyuralex

Did they notify you that they were going to send back your package, or you just knew about that by the time you received it in Ukraine?

I sent them regular letter and they answered by email that my application was returned due to incompleteness.

Regards

In Ukraine you can get PCC within 10 days. So I am not going to supply it. It is easy to get it here.

Same here. We sent our PCC because at the time they hadn't updated the London checklist, and we'd already got the PCCs in the early stages of gathering documents.

It took us only 7 days to get PCC, so apart from some delay and expense it's no real biggy if visa office asks us for updated PCCs if our application isn't finalised by July 2011 when they expire.

But for some countries it can take up to 2 months, hence I guess why CIC now give people the choice of whether to include them or not.

hi Katyspring,

the list will go on, all I want to suggest is to relax. I read people saying to relax, but did not take close this advice until I finally started understanding that we DID OUR BEST, and now the result is not with us.

truly, ANYTHING can happen, anything... tensions will not make you any good, health-wise for sure. if I am the one whose advice to relax works for you, then I will be happy to be that person.

Thumps up, Coffee ;)

I am thinking along the same line with you, but I also think that for now, majority of the PERs are going to the those that applied in July and a few to early August applicants. However, we seem to have received a fair share in our Forum, it sure will be getting to other numerous July applicants. I am sure that once they go fully into August applicants, we(AUGUSTANS) are definetly going to have our PERs in torrents, say mid December, to culminate with a MERRY XMAS :D

I would be very happy with a PER before Christmas! Well I'd be happy to get one at all, but the waiting at this stage is proving very frustrating.

I think I can cope with the long wait at visa office once we know our final eligibility review is passed.
