Thanks for those encouraging words, Satya :) +1 for all the help (the least I can do now) ;)

I am very touched with the effort.....thanks once again for all the time & effort that you are putting in....sorry for my time out from the blog as I am currently renovating my place & have painters working at my place which is taking up my entire time & energy.

Although I am very confident that schooling is never a tension in Canada & I am worrying for no rhyme or reason but as a mother of teenagers, it worries me somehow ;)

I will be sending my kids to the public schools only....am not interested in the private ones.....although I had read that the SSAT is required for private schools only but also wanted double confirmation by parents living there.

I have also come across
Toronto District School Board (TDSB) - www.tdsb.on.ca/
This is a good site for the schools there.

I am still contemplating over Vancouver too & have come across sites like
Vancouver Public Schools - www.vansd.org/
Vancouver School Board - www.vsb.bc.ca/

For rental places, we are looking at websites like

1. http://www.torontorentals.com/2185Sheridan/
2. http://www.freerentads.com/mississauga-apartments-for-rent-erin-mills-parkway-folkway-apartment-rentals-QQZ135456-3bZ4X7
3. http://property.trovit.ca/for-rent-erin-mills-town-centre-mississauga
4. http://www.safehomestay.com/
5. http://www.staystudio6.com/
6. www.rentbc.ca
7. www.welcomebc.ca
8. www.gottarent.com

I am posting these links for others who would want more info on schools & rentals.....hope these help :) :)

Thanks for the offer Satya, will surely PM you for help before finalising a place, if at all, in Toronto ;D

This is a wonderful place where it is most easy to find friends most easily. :-* :-*
+1 for Pinakini & Yosemite ;D ;D ....will give you two ASAP as my KARMA stops me now :P

Regards
Nokiadesire

Thank you for the +1.. ;) +1 to you as well for all the info collected. :)

I am sure that there will be lot of items to be taken care of, before leaving the country. It requires lot of effort. I want to give you a heads up saying that the same kind of effort is required to settle down as well. So, be prepared. ;D

Again, I tell you the same. It will be easy here. Just relax and concentrate on your pending items in India. Once, you come here.. it is not easy to take care of things in India remotely.

You did lot of research already on things like schooling etc. Awesome. It definitely pays off when you come here. I am sure that this info will help lot of other forum members too. I can even tell you that few things that you know, I dont know them so far. You have done good home work. Excellent. :)

All the best in your journey to Canada. Welcome to Canada!!!

Thanks,
satya.

HAHAHA ;D ;D ;D

Thanks for the +1 and the cheers for my research.....my laptop is completely filled with bookmarks that can help me to immigrate.....have been reading various sites for the past two years.....believe me, it is not an easy decision to either decide to migrate, to prepare documents for migration, to wait for the outcome of your application, to plan to settle out of one place and last but not the least to settle into another place......it all needs very very good research & pre-planning.

In my case, these phases were divided between me & my husband due to circumstances that we both faced and even now that we both are at the job.....it still feels like we should more :P

I am thoroughly confident about the country and it governance and also know this for a fact that settling in over there would be more easier than settling out here (my list for here seems never ending)......except that one little worry WAS the education of my kids as our first goal & main purpose for migration is their education. ;)

But now, I am not worried anymore as I am extremely confident that I am on the right track on that aspect too.

CANADA is surely 100% one of the best countries in the world and am definitely looking forward to coming there as soon as possible.

See you soon !! :-*

Nokiadesire

PS : The +1s can be very addictive....I am surely getting used to them :P

Does anybody have any idea, how long it takes to receive PR for me? I am in a very crucial situation that I need my PR in a few months, otherwise I'll loose a very very good job opportunity ! Is there any other way you can suggest? I am totally confused! seems there is not hope....

Hello Friendz,

First of all my heartfelt congratulations to all those who received the good news over the yestermonths! Time to celebrate and all the very BEST for the future life in the DReam Land :)

Also to my fellow friends who are waiting to receive the good & speedy news like me wishing U all the very BEST for waiting for the D day.I know we all need patience,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,somehow my patience level is testing me know as I am RBVO for around 8 months with no sign of movement, requested for CAIPS but no news from that end as well....

Most of my fellow NOC(3113) code applicants in jan have heard good news sooner or later from NDVO but I dont knw why GOD & NDVO is not responding to my application..... :( today feeling v gloomy as it would be an year in Jan since the time I submitted my application at CIO............................Dr.Hasib I have great regards for you and have observed that ur fortune telling in this regard has worked for most of us! PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZ predict for me as well! when would I receive the most awaited in process and medical/PP request.

Though I dont post v often but chk the posts almost hourly every day.Its a great effort & forum put together to keep us connected with one common GOAL: To land in our DREAMLAND and live happily everafter!
Have a good day ahead my friendz with lots of gud news and celebrations.......plz pray for me and my fellow friends who have even applied before me and sailing in the same boat: Jai Mata Di!

Hi PR,

I empathise with your frustration completely as I have undergone and am undergoing the same!! My wife and I applied on Oct 1, 2011 and had an IELTS hurdle in Jan 2011. We cleared that and hoped that things will be fine soon. But then, we got 2nd AOR and RBVO from April 7, 2011... And since then the wait was unending again... The saaaame status for 8 months... Forget the 6 months that had already passed before that!! We kept checking E-CAS all the time... Made general inquiry and CSE... Ordered GCMS twice... Kept tracking others' applications... which was even more frustrating coz people who applied even much after us were getting MRs / Visas / were landing... We had become frustrated and hopeless... So much so that lately we decided not to check E-CAS too often so as to avoid daily frustration after seeing the same RBVO... But then... one morning was different... suddenly, unexpectedly... That was Dec 5, 2011... We checked it just BY CHANCE... in the afternoon... and it was IN PROCESS and said that processing started Dec 2... We were elated, shocked, surprised, happy, what not!!!

With this story I only mean to say that I and many others like us who have waited for damn long, understand you and are with you... Also that, all said and felt, we have nothing in hands except patience and hope... though that is the most difficult part... And lastly, that keep believing that any morning can be different and new... any time!! :)

So, please keep up your spirit... and pray for the best... Lots of people are with you in the wait... You will soon hear great news!!! All the very best to you, to everyone who are waiting and to me and my wife, as well ;)

Best,

BhaktiUjjwal

@PR... one of our old conversations ;D :P :P
