This does not explain why people from the same VO have E and B file nos.

International regions have updated their system. CAIPS is no longer used for the file retention but GCMS. Thats why, new files numbers are starting from E or F.
There is no legal issue in this.
Most of visa offices already shifted to GCMS.

My file starts with B as well as many other post-June applicants reported the same. No one yet reported the file starting with F

I have i problem with e-cas - i can't log in I tried with UCI number (then as a Identification Type i chose "Client id number" and also with my app number (starts with E) - then i chose "Immigration file number". I got this info:

any ideas why i'm not able to log in? My PER is dated february 8.

was away due to busy work schedule
and good to see that Anil have already recived PER and thank you very much for updating my details in the ND VO spread sheet as well.

Dear All,

AS per singh comments...6th Jan was AOR date of application and Now after it my application status was " In Process" and CIO assigned me application number starting with E****** and UCI*********....then now BY THE GRACE OF ALLAH SUBHANA WATA AALA (GOD), two days back I got my status changed into "Application received" and now I have received an e-mail early in the morning for the positive response of eligibility.

Congrats to all of you who got PER and my prayers are with all whose cases are in pipe line. INSHA ALLAH it would be better for all of you (Ameen). we are all in same boat.

I am not religious, this is not a religious forum and I am getting really tired of all this religious preaching! If I wanted to be preached at I would go to a church or a mosque or a religious forum.

You have no right to try to force your religion onto other people on an non-religious Canada immigration forum such as this.

Telling people what is "better for all of us" getting the last straw for me. I don't want to leave this forum but I will do if this carries on for much longer.

So I make one polite request to everyone, please keep your religious beliefs to yourselves because this forum is not an appropriate place to be airing them.

Take it easy Wayne, a lot of us get carried away with joy once the PER is received, and then express gratitude to GOD according to various religious inclination. I am not sure this was intended to hurt anyone who is not in the same faith.
Please do not leave the forum, we need you here, TOLERANCE is our watchword in the world today.

I suppose this is a general issue for all ex-USSR applicants, except maybe only Ankara VO (some of the Caucasian Republics).
