My ecas says In Process and then "We received your application for permanent residence on September 28, 2010."

i tried to check my status online, and to my surprise, there it was.

The status of my application is "In Process". And the word is a clickable. so I clicked the In Process, and saw this:

"We received your application for permanent residence on <date>.

Medical results have been received. "

I got confused here. Medical results received? I have yet to do a medical, because I have not yet received any medical request.

any ideas anyone?

I don't know why for some it mentions on Ecas about medicals and for others it doesn't? Anyone has any idea?

I guess there is some error with the automated response....thats d same status for my application too....m yet to receive my medicals....

My wildest guess is that for those who have cleared the Background checks, it might show medicals received? Or may be for those undergoing the BC?

Hello all,

First of all, thank you Wayne for your blog, this is very helpful and greatly appreciated.

I have tried to check the status of my application (sent on 23 Dec) on Ecas. I used an 8 digit number with a dash that I saved after my first application was returned to me (wrong CC number). So as I said, I kept two numbers that were written on the papers an 8 digit number with a dash between the 1st four and the 2nd other four numbers. And there was also another number that starts with an X.

the Ecas status with the 8 digit number says: (quote)

We were not able to identify you using the information you provided. There could be three possible reasons:

•Please be sure the information you entered is correct and then try again.
•This service is only available to clients with applications in process. We may have received your application but not yet begun processing it. The following link may help you determine if your application is being processed...

Do you think I am getting this response because it is too early for me to check in my status?

Anil, I have checked my online status, and as expected it says; In Process, interestingly it also mentioned my old application(I had applied in 2007). It says, we have started processing your application on xxxx, 2007. I guess I would be requested to withdraw one of the applications at a later stage.
Please update my status on the spreadsheet( cc: Wayne, Amro and Indira ) thanks ALL.
