So I reckon the November/December PERs will go into "Process" February to March time, and for most people background checks take around 30 days unless you have lived in several countries or have held government positions etc.

Hi, I don't know exactly I have just heard that background checks can take longer if you have worked for the government. However, I think this means if you have held any official government positions. If you have just worked as a civil servant then I cannot see it really affecting anything.

But what the hell is going on with Sep 7th applications? And several other gaps up to 15th September received date. CIO seem to be doing things in a somewhat more random order than they did before Christmas...
