Hey FMA,

Thanks for the great job .

We haven't got our PCCs yet, and Prab is appearing for his IELTS on Aug 21st 2010, hopefully we will send the envelope on the day we will get the results of the IELTS, provided we get the PCCs and other documents ready in the meantime.

In any case, we will target Sep 1st week for our submission. Any idea, when we will get the AOR, i mean what's the lead time for submitting the original docs to VO in New Delhi?

Hoping we will meet the cap of 1000 per NOC for 2151, what do you think guys? Please share your views on the 2151 Architects occupation, do you personally know a lot of people who would be applying or interested in applying under FSW1 under this occupation?

Hi mperei02,

Yes, you need to mention your correct Visa Office as CIO in Sydney will only do the preliminary assessment(Pass Mark) and then forward your case file to the respective VO in your country for the background checks, security and medicals etc..

Make sure you enter the right VO in your application as i've seen some applications returning for errors as minor as wrong visa offices quoted .

This might sound strange guys but If we are sending document to Sydney, Canada then how come you are writting VO as Delhi etc...what are those columns standing for...I know I sound stupid...

Thanks fr ur thanks, well u will get AOR fron sydney around 60-75 days it all depends on work load bt for sure u will get it in 60 days, after that u will have 120 days to submit all ur documents to VO. pls note 120 days includes date of letter from Sydney and not from date of receiving. so start preparing all ur documents assuming that u will get positive from sydney.

Dont worry keep working im sure ur NOc will not have much competition.

Dint i hear that with the new process, the whole fuss is all about the waiver of the 120 days time for producing all the documents? And that was the base for the shorter processing times promise In fact, we are asked to send ALL the documents(CIO checklist and the VO Checklist) except the PCCs(which we are going to submit anyway). So, we wouldn't want time to produce the same documents again . This is my understanding after some research on the new rules. I stand to be corrected .

The reason i want to send the PCCs now with the initial application itself is, just to ensure they don't change rules in between and make the PCCs mandatory. Just don't want to take chances. Anyway, we have 20 more days at least to wait until the IELTS results and so we hope to get UK PCCs and Indian PCCs within the time line.

Thanks fma. I believe I can say for most, if not all, that we greatly appreciate it. Saw the inclusion of the new fields, and was wondering the rationale for including IELTS considering that all post 26/6 applicants would have to submit their results at application stage. As for PCC, and depending on how we interpret the instructions, there is likely to be a split on those who have submitted and those who have not. Perhaps AOR would also be a useful tracking field too? What do you think?

On the question of what happens next, I am not too sure how the sequence of events would unfold for the post 26/6 applications, given that nearly all (depending on whether you have submitted PCC) have already been submitted. I am also not sure as to whether the review of the submission by CIC will continue to follow a month to month sequence, or a separate group be mandated to review the larger pool of documents submitted as opposed to the pre 26/6. Do share your thoughts if you have any information on this.

But if the former, then for a start we could track the previous months submissions. Right now the May 2010 applicants are waiting for their AOR. The link to May and June Applicants thread are provided below;

yes Temasek u r right post 26/6 have to submit IELT's with their application, this field is included only for those who are still colleting docemtns and in process of submitting, they will come to know whether they have completed IELT's or not.

Again PCC also im not sure where new applicants are sending PCC but it should be sent to VO and not CIO so far that's what i know. i dont know how many of u sent PCC to CIO.

no one is sure how the sequence will unfold but this thread will get sorted according to NOc and we will come to know the time line of each and every one.

if u have any suggetion pls let men know we will make this thread useful for applicant. thanks for sending link i will go through.

Just looked into the cic link of yours and i cant believe my eyes

The time taken by the New Delhi VO is maximum 9 months? Well at least it's a giant leap from the 6 to 7 years ..

But is this really wat happens? If yes, the grass the getting greener for us as they have a 120 days document gathering time waiver with the newest process(29 Occupations and the 20000/1000 cap)

I have not gone thru complete link of Post 26/6, but as far as fast track is concerned I also have done in fast track but pre 26/6, and i have sent two sets of all docutments one to Sydney and again to VO, now the changes are u have to send IELTS with initial application where as i sent to VO.

again PCC there is confusion, but according to one consultant in india PCC required to sent to VO only. u better work on that as PCC is valid for shorter period only.

dont get confused fiest clear IELTS and dont send original of ur certificate please take care of that. IELTS needs to be sent original.

Oh congrats u got transcipts from US !! right u r on the rigth track as there is monsoon grass will deifinitely get green for all of u.

Also, abt the PCCs as i have said earlier, we are planning to give it a shot and provide it right away, although some where they have mentioned that they would not need them with the initial application to the CIO, we dont want to take a chance. The idea behind is, the PCCs are valid for 1 year and in case our application is not approved by 11 months from now, we will apply for an additional copy which will only cost us nominal, unlike the original first application. That way we can ensure we will have a PCC whenever they ask .

Also i have a documents to be gathered list ready. I will share it with you for comments and views soon

Did anyone of you get AOR when your applications were received after 26/6. Please reply specifically to this question. I have seen FMA making a list of applicants but where is AOR (an official confirmation) regardless of courier tracking shipments. I suggest the adition of yet another column under AOR.
