Yes, first of all we followed the case with TNT, Iran. When we got no answer and help then we tried TNT,Toronto. Then they told us that they had submitted it to Purolator. After that for about a week we were on the phone with Purolator, Canada. They assigned an investigator for my case. The team searched all warehouses and cars. Then they sent the driver to the CIO to ask for information. He was denied info due to privacy issues. Then I sent an authorization form for my friend in Vancouver and assigned him as my representative to ask about my case from them as per directed by CIO itself!! Ater all these had been done, CIO said that my file submitted on DEC 1st is way too new to be given any info on.And he was advised to call back after two months and ask if they have or have not received my file. And also he was advised that I shouldn't apply before that because in case they have already received it they will file to entries for one person , and that's illegal!!! :-\

Oh no.. But wait, that's not the end of it! Please prepare another application copy,this time you may send photocopies of the documents that you can't gather again, like the IELTS, mentioning your package was lost in transit and you are not sure if it made it's way into the CIO. Although they ask for a original IELTS, they can easily verify the authenticity of it by checking it online on the IELTS website.

I suggest preparing a cover letter explaining what happened and that should help

Government of Canada to facilitate the immigration of up to 1,000 Tibetan refugees living in Arunachal Pradesh in India


Ottawa, December 18, 2010 — The Government of Canada intends to facilitate the immigration of up to 1,000 Tibetan refugees living in the state of Arunachal Pradesh in India over a five-year period, Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism Minister Jason Kenney announced today.

“Our government’s openness to Tibetan refugees is in keeping with Canada’s best humanitarian traditions,” said Minister Kenney. “We look forward to working with the Government of India and the Tibetan-Canadian community on the implementation of this program, and on welcoming these individuals to Canada.”

Special immigration measures will be developed in response to a request by the Tibetan community and will focus on individuals who meet specific criteria. These measures aim to maximize the involvement of communities in Canada by focusing on individuals who have secured the support of the Canadian-Tibetan community or other interested supporters.

Canada has a long-standing tradition of facilitating immigration for various groups around the world by matching prospective immigrants to community sponsors in Canada through private sponsorships. This is done at no additional cost to Canadians because initial settlement costs, including housing, are guaranteed by sponsors.

This humanitarian initiative will assist Tibetan refugees in Arunachal Pradesh, who live in remote and isolated settlements.

“I would like to recognize India’s long-standing support for the Tibetans in India,” added Minister Kenney. “This is Canada’s opportunity to complement India’s support for this vulnerable population.”

This is not the first time Canada has assisted Tibetans. In 1972, Canada established the Tibetan Refugee Program and resettled approximately 230 Tibetans in Canada who had been living in Northern India. This new initiative, which will bring in up to 1,000 Tibetans, is another example of Canada’s efforts to reach out to the Tibetan community.

Persons entering Canada under these special measures would be required to meet Canada’s requirements for immigration, including security, criminal, medical and background checks.

I got your personal message, thanks. For some reason the forum said you had blocked my personal message reply to you, so anyway I will just post my reply here. Firstly can I please ask when did your application reach CIC, and what was your method of payment?

It may be worth giving it a certain time to see if your payment is cashed, at which point you will know that you passed the completeness check.

Post will be very slow over the Christmas period so probably not worth submitting a new application, if you choose to do that, until the New Year. What is your NOC code and how close is it to hitting the cap limit? If you have plenty of room left in your NOC for the cap limit I would certainly wait several weeks to see if you manage to pass the completeness check.
