Wonderful, just got my Decision Made today in my ECAS ( 4th Line).

Thank you Com2Canada for the insider scoop information, even though you don't know well the insider :)

In fact, lack of communication from Ottawa makes the immigration process very opaque. Why can't they give us heads-up about average processing time as NY, LA, San Diego VO released on the CIC website? I called CIC number the other day and the agent said I should send email directly to Ottawa Pilot Processing Case to have response about file transfer update and average processing time. However, when I sent an update request to Ottawa and enclosed my proof of studies completion and and a new job offer, all I have received so far is an automatic reply saying that they won't answer questions whose answers can be found on the guide book and whose processing time doesn't exceed average time >:(

Now I guess what we all know depend on some unknown insiders perhaps!!! Viva the transparency of the Canadian administration!!!

Best luck to all of us,

saratracy

I got this response from Ottawa when I asked about my file:

- Your file has been transferred from Buffalo to Ottawa Pilot effective July
7

- It was well in process in Buffalo but now comes under the new processing
times for Ottawa - which is 12 months from the July 7 date BUT it may be
much shorter depending on when an officer reviews it the file

- CIC officer was unsure if you will be asked to redo IELTS exam or if it
will be extended due to delays associated with the new processing systems.

- Officer recommends being patient and awaiting direct contact from CIC.

PS: I just gave my file number to someone who happened to know an insider. I have shared this info just to calm people's anxiety and frustrations down. It does not however apply to everyone. And please don't request for the insider details because I don't even have it. Cheers :)

It's sad, to say the least. I do tell people though that anyone who applies/wanting to apply for Canada PR without a backup plan or some other options will be probably die of frustration before the PR arrives.

Hi all,

I think I may get someone relevantly experienced here.

I need Egyptian PCC for my wife, who traveled back to our home country. As she isn't available for fingerprints in Egypt, she had to visit local Egypt embassy and submitted her pics, fee and fingerprints.

According to the relevant Egyptian Consulate, they have sent the data of my wife to Egypt (Foreign Ministry ) by diplomatic post.

Foreign office doesn't know how a PCC for a non available person can be procured in Egypt.

Interior Ministry, which is responsible for issuing PCCs haven't got any letter from Foreign Ministry so far.

In a nutshell, I would like to request any foreigner/Egyptian who had been in the same situation (tried to get PCC for their stay in Egypt, while living in any other country at that moment)please enlighten me, where to go and to whom should I meet??

Cheers,

Nashe
