Hello All,

Finally, An update on my file. I sent an email yesterday to buffalo VO asking for the status and they replied saying, "Your File has been transferred to NY Visa office on April 23rd". happy to hear that there is some movement at least.

But, I didn't receive any email from them unless I initiated a status email (reply on my email). Is this something that I have to worry for (that they don't initiate any email)?

For applicants who do not have a Canadian address for PR card delivery

This is for friends who do not have a mailing address in Canada where their PR cards could be delivered. The UPS Canada provides a mailbox which has a Legal address instead of a mail box number. Your mail can only be retrieved by you or by a person authorised by you. The tricky part is, if the PR card is not delivered to you (if you happen to leave before they arrive), then you will have to make special arrangements/procure travel documents when you plan to return to Canada.

Yes, it is definitely good to do so, if you have a friend/relative. And some people are very conservative about giving sensitive docs to friends/relative.

I had already send 2 enquiry to check the status in April and got reply a "Your application is in process.We are unable to provide a date when the processing of your application will be complete".. Not sure whether its a standard message as many forum members mentioned..

Still there is not update in ecas..its RBVO.. I'm almost done with my CEC application,pending only PCC..planning to send it by May end.. after waiting 18 months...

I am fedup of this buffalo office..everyday checking the ecas with no update.Hope is the only thing expecting from Buffalo..

I understand the frustration. I am in the same stage too. Every day, I check E-cas twice at least. Buffalo VO really sucks. Just have some patience and hope. Every thing will be fine.

That is correct email address. Buffalo VO some times will reply after 3 to 4days. If you dont hear any thing after 3 days, then.. I would say, send an email again.
