HEY FRIENDS,

I am back after a short gap ;D

Last week was pretty hectic since we received the MR/PPR/RPRF, as my husband and me were very keen on doing our medicals the very next day but somehow due to our kids exams we could not do so during the week....so finally we completed the medicals on SATURDAY - 21 JAN 2012 and then immediately got to arranging documents to send them on monday....Luckily we sent the documents (PPR/RPRF/Medical Receipts) on monday evening to our consultant who has very promptly forwarded it today to NDVO ( a special thanks to him)....thus my documents and draft will reach NDVO today on WEDNESDAY - 25 JAN 2012.

The medicals was a 2 hour procedure where we first gave our urine and blood samples, then filled forms given by the DMP and after that did our chest X-Rays. After that we did the eye check up and the physical examination. All-in-all nothing to worry about. There is no need to fast ( confirmed with my DMP while taking appointment) and it is advisable to take all your daily medicines (if any) and be honest with the DMP.

With the Grace of GOD and the best wishes of all you friends, everything occurred smoothly and now I can say that I am finally

Mari,

Are CEC applications processed in Ottawa ? I was under the impression that visa offices handle them.

I sent my application to Buffalo. Normally it should be processed there but they have decided to forward CEC files to Ottawa to speed up the process.

You are correct. I would never have known unless I had sent an email to BVO.

I am a dec 2010 applicant. In this case, Do you think I have enquire about the status of my application or can I wait for some more time? Any advise???

I would recommend to wait a bit more. It seems like they are just working on Sept-Oct applicants.

Im here again to ask weird questions..

I have recently moved to a different address, actually about 2 months ago...but i never updated my address with BVO, since I was thinking I would rather receive any news from them from my old address...and i was trying to keep my communication with them to a minimum...

then, i have been thinking, maybe i should just update it with them....that way, i would know any information at all, if i was moved to a different VO...or whatever news at all...

i know, i sound so starved with any correspondents from BVO... sad but true...


please help.. thank you friends!

Yep!! I think its better to update the address to avoid any issues further. There is even a chance to know any updates on your file. Keep us posted, if you hear any transfer on your file. I wish you all the best.

Gas/Petrol - 100
Grocery - 600 - 700
Internet/TV - 60

Apart from that:

Good Car - 4000 - 5000
Lincense Expense- 700


It is more about where you live. Cost of living depends on the place you live and your requriement.

I pay these every month.
Rent: 2 bed room condo: 1400/month
Mobile(s) - 2: 60/month
Insurance: 35/family (corporate insurance: medical and dental. OHIP covers every thing. I dont know how much if OHIP doesnt cover)
Internet/TV: 35/month + 15/month (Telugu channels only).
Petrol: 100/month(i dont use car for work)
Go Train Pass: 167/month
Grocerries: 500~600 Approx
License: Ontario (Some times they exchange the license which costs about 100$ only.) - This is one time fees.
