Merry Christmas and a Happy New YearEdmontonion204 said:Hi everyone especially seniors,
Yesterday I received my GCMS report which shows that CIO had calculated my language points wrong, it shows my language points as
Speaking: moderate
Listening: high
Reading: high
Writing: high
Points=14
Whereas my actual points should be as follows
Reading: high
Speaking: moderate
Writing: moderate
Listening: high
Points=12
How did you apply knowing that you were short of the qualifying 67 points
Meaning that CIO has given me two extra points in language This is a mistake and will be rectified at VO's office
Now if buffalo visa office will calculate my points and allot me 12 points I might be short of one point. I will be having total points of 66 instead of 67. You had know this all along....or am I missing something
My question is, do visa offices again calculate the points or rely on CIO points calculation.Yes, VO would recalculate
The second question is CIO has alloted me 20 points for education as I am a medical doctor and I did my MBBS degree from Pakistan, I was thinking that they will allot me 22 points for it.On degree- -20 points In this situation I will be short of one point. My spouse is studying in Canada in master program Since two and a half year but his masters degree is not completed yet. Can we get points in adaptability section that my spouse has studied in Canada for more than two years at post secondary level?Yes, you can earn 5 points. No need to have a degree or diploma ....just a 2 yr valid study on a valid study permit. Have you already informed your VO? If not do it ASAP with all the necessary documents
Please advise seniors urgently. My ecas status is RBVO and if visa office started processing of my application and alloted me the actual language points my application will be refused on short of pointsYou might actually sail through with the adaptability points from your spouse.....Christmas Gift
Thanks in advance
Happy holidays
