can anyone pls advise y some files are being skipped
there r many appicants who applied earlier even they did not get their medicals
and then they have to wait for a long long time
since last 2 months i had seen that NDVO is in full speed
they had issued medicals to jan feb mar apr may jun jul applicants
but i have noticed tht they had skipped some applicants
i have this list of april applicants but there r many from jan feb mar apr may
can anyone pls let us know what is the strategy behind this.
would like to have some words from regular forum members like MITALI and many other.

Me too FSW2 Applicant....I applied on Feb 16 2011...2AOR 20 APRIL 2011....IN PROCESS ON 21 NOV..
Comparing my time lnes with yours....ther is gap of almost 3 months.....

and its just 15days since i recived MR.......so...?


i agree that June applicants received MR...which i find UNFAIR compared to Mar/Apr applicants.

But we never know what really going on.....hope for de best.

Hi Vishal,

Its a mystery....but we know very well by now that "treating files in the order of priority and fairness" has eluded many applicants.

This is what I think:

1. Many applicants on tracker might not have updated their status thus creating a false impression.
2. Not all files are similar and the complexity of the files renders the pace of processing.
3. Luck plays a crucial part...If you are lucky to get an over enthusiastic VO who would clear your file in approx 4.5 months (Doglover, NDVO) or unlucky one to have your file move to In Process after 1.4years (Harjot, NDVO).
4. Yes, we did observe the "SKIPPING" trend for Feb applicants which was disappointing and again is being repeated for April applicants....I can only say that the BUNCH is with a LAZY VO....hope he wakes up.

5. Anybody crossing the 6 month wait period should send CSE...it is the RIGHT of the applicant to know the status of his/her application.

6. Vishal, unless we sneak into the offices of the VOs, we will NEVER come to know the REAL Stratergy......guess, guess and guess is what we can do. But they will take care of the files...I am sure. ;D ;D ;D

NB: Vishal, are you AEO or at a job in Canada already?....this will also affect the processing time. Be ready to provide RCMP fingerprints if you are residing in Canada...it may be asked for.

I completed my landing procedure successfuly last week and now have the temp PR reciept stapled in the passport...great feelings...
My time Line is
CIO -December 2010
PER - March 2011
IN Process - June 2011
Medical/Passport - July 2011
Decision Made -October 2011
Landed - December 2011

Thanks for prompt reply.I have proof that they have sent me via Email on different time,like courier receipt,and letter that form VO that shows application is being transfer from CIO to VO.I have no clue about PER Mail what is it please guide me about this.(I do not know about abbreviations used in this forum)
Sometime in Sep.2011 i received following reply via consultant from visa office as follow:
Your application is in process. We are unable to provide a date when the processing of your application will be complete.

Hi Akshara,

This is ofcourse not true.... Ask him for source of such information. Gutt feeling,, he's hiding something else from you as well...
I am sure you would have taken all proofs of correspondence with CIO and VO till now namely; receipt of orignal application's courier,, copy of PER mail,, copy of letter from VO acknowleding receipt of your file at buffallo... If not ,, get them now.
Above all make him realize that you are not sitting in dark..

Latest update from my end was that Meds reached NDVO on 20th November and RPRF encashed on 2nd December..
And thanks a million for good wishes,, they are needed from a sincere heart at yours..
If everything goes well... Probably we'll land by Mid March..

Hi Akshara,,

PER is "positive eligibility review".. You generally get PER from CIO sydney via email which gives you application number..

2nd AOR are not issued by all VOs.. Some VO's issue it as an acknowledgement of receipt of paper file in local VO from Nova Scotia, Canada...

You might want to send a GCMS request,, as it has been almost 3 months since VO answered and declared your file being looked into and nothing has been done. At least it would clarify what is being done to your file.. .

Guys, Finally found out a way to open an account in a Canadian bank before you land there.

Check this out. There are some terms and conditions as always. But it is possible. I am in Ireland and there is no Canadian bank here and so it was getting difficult. People in India can do it with lot of canadian banks in the big cities. This is for people who do not have a canadian bank in their place of living.
