Hi Koel,

For your sister to be eligible she has to have

1. One CONTINUOUS year of experience from the current NOC and should be in the last 10years

2. She will be awarded EXTRA points for other work ONLY if they fall in the SKILL CATEGORY of O, A or B ; need not have to be from the current NOC ; but cannot be just any work; the rest of the work experience does not have to be continuous; should also occur in the last 10 years.

How to determine skill levels:

With any NOC code, you can see from the numbers what category it is.

If it starts with 0 like 0311, it is a manager position and falls under skill type 0

If it doesn't start with 0 but the 2nd digit is 1, like 1122, it is a skill level A position.

If it doesn't start with 0 but the 2nd digit is 2, like 1222 or 3 like 7311, it is a skill level B position.

If it doesn't start with 0 and the 2nd digit is 4 or 5, it's a skill level C and if the 2nd digit is 6, it's a skill level D.

SKILL LEVEL O : Management occupations
SKILL LEVEL A : Require University education
SKILL LEVEL B : College education or apprenticeship training.

This is our update by the way, LVO sent us another reply “... do not undergo Med Examinations until we'll get all kids Med Forms including expected baby...” so basically we need to send New Application for our baby, his birth cert & passport, and only after that they are going to send us Med forms for all children, so our visa validity period will be the same for all the family. We are going to send them updated PCC from our country of origin and RPRF bank draft next week.
All we have to do for this short period is to relax and wait...

27 Dec- Boxing Day(in lieu of 26-Monday)

and in 2012

2 Jan 2012 -New Year (in lieu of 1st -Sunday)

I guess 23 Dec will be the last ....NDVO works actively.....again they will be active from 3 January 2012

my post were confusing for u.


Paramvir - "desired NOC"
Mitali - "current NOC"

u used the above in place of eligible occupation to apply for PR.

I used the term "current" NOC not for eligible occupations.....NOC list keeps changing/updating every year......so i meant the other work exp. should be in occupation listed in current NOClist / website.

To be more precise....

one should have atleast 1 yr exp. in eligible occupation (29 occupations)

and other years of work exp. get additional points if the Job is from skilled level O, A or B from updated NOC list which one can check in the NOC website.

NDVO has taken long time in our case....now i hope they wont take more time by asking add. doc or interview etc.
