I concur with Cam1234's advice. When you get your PPR, they clearly state that you have to submit valid passports. The other issue is that the visa is valid upto 1 year from the day of the meds and / or till your passport expires - whichever comes first. So the answer to your question is no. I suggest you to get it sorted soon or go on the late start mode. It means don't go for your meds as soon as you get the request. If they give you 60 days then do the meds at say 55 days. This will give you almost two more months and hopefully the situation in your home country is resolved by then.MowSow said:Quick question:

My passport will expire on Jan 04/12. My country is not issuing passports to anyone due to the bloody popular revolution to overthrow the regime.
Can the visa office issue a visa on an expired passport, as I don't expect the processing to finish before my passport expires. I currently live in US.. please advice !!
