Got my PR Visa & COPR in the mail yesterday. All in all, my application at Buffalo took less than a year (about 11 months). Just want to thank everyone on this forum, and wishing you all the very best.

Congratulations. That is a wonderful news!

My thoughts are heated up and the weather in Ottawa is really warm.

It is one year, one week and one day after my file reached in Immigration hands.

Don't worry, mari!
London and Buffalo are both being very slow with Category 2 and I can understand what you are going through because we have been going through it as well.
You have the benefit of a job in Canada and you will not have to waste a second thought about finding one or about being short of money and all the attendant worries that Cat 1 applicants must face when they land.
There are benefits and while I know the wait is long and difficult, our situation has its good points ;D.

I hope that something arrives for you very soon ;).

Hi Mari,
Have you written to Buffalo to ask about your file and got reply from them? I think it is a good idea to refrain from bombarding them frequently with repititious questions but it is our right to know the status of our file at justifiable time...
Best luck to all, my dear friends and myself :)

thank you. You are right but I look at the spreadsheet and my concern is "do we have to wait 21 months as FSW2 or our file is in priority same as FSW1 in Buffalo?"

Yes I wrote to them last week and they replied that my file is in process. But to be honest I don't trust what they say, as many people have received rubbish and irrelevant responses from Buffalo so far. They just say something to you to get rid of you ;D

Mari

Probably ordering CAIPS/ GCMS can be a good idea then...
Best wishes, saratracy

My situation goes like this..

We received your application for permanent residence on September 23, 2010.

We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on January 26, 2011. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Your application was reviewed and we started processing on March 8, 2011.

Medical results have been received.

First passports were sent in the month of April but in June month they returned my passport as lamination was not OK so after renewing my PP I sent it back to NDVO in June itself and now it's Long Wait and wait only.....
