Guys,

Today I received a letter from London VO asking for updated forms (Application for PR, Background/Declaration), updated police certificates from my current country of residence (UAE), evidence of sufficient funds, photographs of my children, and RPRF.

They stated that the Medical Instructions will be issued upon receipt, and asked me to send a request to withdraw an old pending application (since 2007).

The letter is dated 14th July. They gave me 60 days to send these documents.

Based on your experience, when shall I expect the medical examination documents (given I send these documents within a couple of days)?

I was also requested additional documents for the 2nd time via e-mail on June 1st that was the Immigrant Summary Form (Supplementary Information) and was given 45 days. My brought forward date was July 15th and since then I have not received any news from London VO and my address still appears on the ecase. Any idea when I can expect the MR...

Received our passport and COPR yesterday. But SGVO didnt return any of my submitted documents including original experience certicficates, IELTS etc.

Any thoughts and suggestion?

Congratulations to all who have received PER, 2AOR, MR, PPR and Visa, and updates in ECas; expecially to you Asaif. Yours was loooooong overdue.

(X) Kindly note that the FBI certificate is a mandatory requirement. You are requested to provide us with same.

No I did not order CAIPS notes but as London VO had sent me an e-mail for additional documents on June 1st and gave 45 days to submit it so my brought forward date should be July 15th. Do you think am I right in assuming that July 15th is my brought forward date. Any idea when I can expect my MR.

i dont think that would be the correct way to calculate BFD's... the actual BFD could be any date after the lapse of 45 days.. it may be even 2 months after the deadline given to you(i am not discouraging you).

This is the FBI web site for obtaining your background check certificate or rap sheet

all the procedures are on the links on the right hand side and please note that their checks are fingerprint based. It can take at least 6 weeks for them to process your request. In your cover letter to the FBI do mention the visa office deadline and say that you would appreciate it if they can process your application in a timely manner for you to meet the deadline. Keep all evidence that you have requested the FBI for your fingerprints, so that if you do not receive your certificate from the FBI by the deadline of the Visa office, you can provide the visa office the evidence that you have requested for the cert. and tell them that you will send it to them once you get it. I imagine that the visa office is aware of the time it takes the FBI to issue a certificate (currently they say 6 weeks once they receive your application but it can take upto 12 weeks). Hope this helps. A few people on this forum have been in the situation where the FBI cert has taken time to process and they were on a deadline from the visa office so you may want to do a search for these.
