Applications after 26/6 in any NOC CONNECT HERE TO GET THE STATUS

Dear Wayne/ Hasib / Indra and other senior members,

Can you please tell me that the medical request is recieved by email or normal conventional mail....? I m asking this question bcz if normal conventional mail is not recieved to the applicant how can the applicant know that medical request has been issued...?

It comes by snail mail as it has special stapled forms.

That is the prudent thing to do as this has been the case of some forum members. When CIC is going to make decision on one (probably the one in process), it will as you to windraw the other application. If having both application was a problem, they would have indicated that long ago. The only thing they won't do is make decision on both....wait for their instruction regarding this. Please don't stress yourself unnecessarily...Mandie

I completely agree with Mandie. Of course CIC can not make decision for the same person twice (Best explanation)
I read elsewhere on this forum (but cannot find it now) that the applicant was requested to withdraw one application that was in the initial stages of processing. The tricky part is if both the applications reach "In process" stage almost at the same time, then you may not get the fees back for one of them.

I have curriered my new application from India on 18th July and it will be delivered tomorrow. what I found that CIC site has updated on 19th July with new checklist and forms. what should I do??
Please advice me.

That's correct. The old forms will be accepted till Nov 14, 2011 (I hope I got the date right but Nov 2011 is surely confirmed).

Please dont worry, you are safe because there will be many applications in transit like yours and you are not at fault. The November deadline is sort of a safety net for applicants like you.

Yes, CIC will not start rejecting forms that were issued prior to 18 July 2011 until 14 November 2011. So any "old" forms which reach them until 13 November 2011 will be accepted.

Well I am pleased to announce that at 2pm today, after almost 11 months since we mailed our application, we received our visas in our passports from CHC London!
