I've heard that postal service in London might go on strike as a consequent of financial situation.
What do you people living in London think about that ?
I will be sending my baby's medicals and my wife's x-ray next week to London by ordinary mail.
Do you think I should go for DHL ?

You are closer to the end of the processing.
Spending a little more than normal is worth it at this stage.

yeas..definately u should informe VO that u don't work there anymore (as soon as possible)

strike matters with government postal services not with private couriers like fedex, speedex garry etc . u can send by these..avoid regular mail. use courier service.

Bad news for me guys.
I have received NER yesterday. I think an unfair one.
CIC officer didn't award me any points for working experience as a self-employed. I had sent founding documents of my firm, as well as the cover letter with the main duties, but that didn't seem to satisfy him.

Here is the explanation:

-No points were assigned for employment period October 2007- present as insufficient evidence that you performed the actions described in the lead statement for the occupation or that you performed a substantial number of the main duties of NOC 7216 including all of the essential duties. For self-employed persons, third party documentation indicating the type of service rendered to support a NOC code should be provided. Such as but not limited to: Contracts, Invoices/ receipts, Letters from a third party company indicating specific services provided by your company.

I thought that designated VO is the one to demand additional documents.
Also, does anybody know if I'll get the refund?

hello my friend magdy in my opinon that any important documents like medical exam paper must not send by ordinary mail as it might lost so i advise u to send it by more safe way like courier service. before 2 weeks i call egyptian express mail and they told me that there are service in express mail called net courier in this service the express egyptian mail colllect the shipement then send it to fedex in egypt then fedex send it to any place like london the advantage of this way is that it cost only 120 egyptian pounds otherwise u will pay 450 egyptian pounds by fedex if u send to fedex direct . it only 4-5 days to recah london by net courier the same time it take by fedex . u can ask any post office and they will told u exactly what i said hope this information is helpful for u yours, emad

A very big thank you for everyone's advice about my baby's passport.
Miraculously, someone I did not know helped to fast tracked it.
I was able to do the passport yesterday and I will pick it up in less than 2 weeks time.
That is about 6 months saved!
I am glad having you all in this forum. You are just like my real friends and family members.
