Congratulations Wendy. ;D
I just wish we had some positive news.
Another Bank Holiday here in the UK, so little chance of news until tomorrow.
After case-specific e-mail, letter to London VO, FAX and also telephone call to CIC (who said they would change the address on ECAS computer right then and there!) our address has still not even been updated on ECAS, so it seems that they are just ignoring us at the moment; for what reason, I cannot tell.
It is somewhat galling that London is the only VO that seems to be processing applications from outside the UK and not only that but getting them done a lot faster than those from their native applicants.
I notice on other forums that lots of 2007 applicants from London are getting their Visas at the moment, so that is what the main staff at London must be doing. So, it is a double blow for post-June 26th 2010 native UK London applicants. We are being put behind foreign applications and also being punished for the fact that London has a huge backlog it needs to clear before the next intake of Cat 1s begins in late June 2011.
I don't understand the logic behind transferring foreign applications to London when it is in this position. Surely it would have been better to send them to a VO that was in a better position?
I am afraid about what the situation will be when June 26th rolls around - the speed with which CIO are getting files transferred to London is going to mean that they are stacking up new applications faster than ever. Where will we stand then? Even as Category 2 with a job and actually working in Canada in that job, we are not guaranteed to have our file looked at, it seems.
