plz pardon my ignorance, can some one tell me the difference between fsw1 and fsw2. urgently needed as i am filling the forms. do i have mention anything about fsw1 or fsw2 while filling the form. if not where i have to mention if i am fsw1 or fsw2.

FSW1 is when your NOC is in the list of approved list and you comply with their requirements (IELTS, 1 year full time experience, etc, etc) and FSW2 is arranged employment if you already have an offer and HSRDC clearance.

OK I agree but why do you say it only in regards to the London VO?
The lack of logic in the order of processing of the applications applies to all VOs.
And if there is logic in the order in which the applications are processed in the VOs then we can't understand it simply because we don't have the details of the forum members.
Let's ask the people who have already received visas if they are married and with how many children if any.
Other useful info would be if they have lived in only one country hence needed only one police clearance.
Then let them tell us if they had only 1 employer or 10 for example which will mean respectively 1 or 10 references needed to be checked by the Visa Officer.
etc..
We can't judge the work of the VOs without knowing the details of the applicants.

All these factors come into play after they start processing the file.
But maybe they are keeping heavy files aside and start with the ones that look easy to finish.
IMO, this is not fair.

fsw2 is used for skilled worker category who has arranged employment offer.

Morning forum family. It has been a little while since I checked in and it seems I have hundreds of posts to read. Must first say sorry to dibs and Ashole on your mishap. Don't worry where there is a will there is a way. Congrats to Viktoria first. It has been a long wait but you made it thus far and will make it to the end. Also yto cforcanada, ekram787, zeddm, Dr. Ray, Malik, ntaye, majorhell, rohan2010, binbin, zohaib, ambersabarabia and Architet_100 on all your good news whether it be Ecas change,MR,PCC,PR or other document requests. I hope I did not leave out anyone it was not intentional. For those VOs that are still asleep after so long I would hope the wake up soon so that others can experience some joy instead of the frustration of waiting with no news. They don't do that either......My application is the easiest one I guess -- Single employer, Same address since last 14 years, living in the home country since birth, all docs submitted precisely as required etc. (I hope they are not doubting it !!!) -- still I'm (and 13 others who applied before me) yet to go 'In Process' and we've atleast 9 post-my-application-date applicants 'In Process' (5 to 6 of them with MR in hand).....

All these factors come into play after they start processing the file.
But maybe they are keeping heavy files aside and start with the ones that look easy to finish.
IMO, this is not fair.

The OECD is a social and economic policy think-tank getting funds from its members and its ‘Better Life Index’ survey aims to give a wider picture of a nation’s success than just its GDP (gross domestic product).

Canada scores high in terms of education, safety--The OECD survey findings show that Canadians are regarded to be the best educated people among the 34 nations included in the survey. Moreover, the level of safety offered by Canada to the people is quite high.

Canadians said they feel safer while being on the streets even after dark as compared to those in majority of other nations. High safety levels of Canada are quite known considering the low crime-rate in many Canadian cities including Saskatoon.

Canadians a happy lot--Nearly 75 percent of Canadians said they were pretty happy with their lives and considered Canada a pretty good nation to live in. Canadians are much happier with their lives than the people living in other 33 nations included in the survey considering the fact that the average satisfaction level was just around 59 percent in the OECD survey.

The OECD stated that Canada performs quite well in terms of well-being and this makes it a top nation in several factors in the Better Life Index.

This is a bit strange. But, i shall assume that your IMM8 you sent before contained some unclear data maybe due to handwriting or they just need you to update your status by mentioning the new date thing. Anyways, you can consider this email as good news and an indication that your case is on its way to the end of course.
They are also maybe doing some background checks and need to confirm something.

Hey Magdy and ALL

Been so busy lately. Work started picking up and it is crazy. I quite enjoy it.

Embassy news were not so cheerful for us last week as they have received the medicals for half of the family members and still the other half missing, including mine (main applicant)! They are contacting London to trace them.

They know my urgency to arrive Canada mid June and are trying to help. They are so positive, something that I really touched. I do not know if we can still make it on time, though. I am trying to keep it off my mind those days and focus on work.

I can see that the thread is doing well with loads of news. I am particularly happy with Viktoria's case and sorry for others with NER's.

I will keep you posted with further news.

That is why I suggested to ask the applicants who have already received visas, passport requests AFTER medicals and those with RPRF encashments to share with us ALL the details about their applications. This is the ONLY way to finally have the answer to this so much discussed question as to whether there is logic in the way applications are processed and most importantly what is it.
