Hey!
Start with the first one (evaluating exams) and go from there!
I already went through that successfully a couple of years back; so I will be focusing on the Qualifying and OSCE only as soon as I land.
And I think you are doing a lot of forward thinking starting the registrations process now! Anyone who wishes a quicker licensing should really be doing so; if only the VOs will co-operate and speed things up as well ???

Hey spokes,

How you dey sis?

Not sure how the licensing procedures is for you guys buy for Physiotherapists, the best advice is to start the credential evaluation before or while the immigration process is going on as one would have enough time and space to do the run around for documentation gathering sitting for Academic IELTS etc, and more importantly it safes a lot of time and stress so one can focus on preparing for exams and all that goes with relocation to another country once one gets to Canada.

Not minding that CIO are still holding on to my file, I have completed my credential evaluation and I am sitting for Part 1 (written) of the exam this summer. If I scale that (God wiling I will), I will be able to get a conditional registration (Temporary Licence) and work under supervision for few months when we finally move to Canada. That am hoping should give me some Canadian clinical orientation to sit the Part 2 (clinical exam).

My wife is also almost through with her Social Work Registration in Alberta. She may have to undergo a few months of supervised practice initially depending on the outcome of her evaluation process. The good news is, the job market for Physiotherapists and social workers in Canada is still very buoyant, if one can get over the immigration and the professional licensing hurdles.

in which province r u applying for licensure?
Can an RN apply for Ontario nursing board and then transfer to Alberta for job? or she would again need CRNE?

We are applying for licensing in Alberta. However for physiotherapist, the credential evaluation and the exams are done nationally, i.e once you pass the National Physiotherapy Competency exams you can apply for license in any province in Canada, there are very minimal province specific requirements once the applicant has passed the 2 stages of the competency exam.

Not sure exactly how it works for RNs, but I think most health professions are moving towards a centralized/National competency exams. Why not check out the nursing registration board for each of the province you might be interested in and see what you can do now that you are still back in your home country. It would safe you a lot of time trust me.

I wish you all the best.

Hi Friends..
I have sent two or three queries to ND VO through case specific inquiry in last fifteen days but have not received any auto generated response of confirmation. But earlier when ever I sent any inquiry I have gotten the email on the same time about the confirmation.
Has It happened with anybody else too?Huh
Does it mean that my query has not reached them? What should I do?

Thanks
AC
