I noticed something interesting on the New Delhi Spread;

It shows 25 people having received MR/PPRs with a mention of their PROCESS start date.

Out of those 25 , 22 received their MR/PPRs in less than 8 days from their 'process start date'.


So, if it has been more than 8 days since one's process start date, should it be a reason to worry?

Hi Always+ve,

If I were you I would have sent a FAX, Email & Letter to ND VO reminding about the address change, also would have written a memo to Post Master informing the address change and request the PO to inform you about the arrival of the PP and you can go personally to PO and collect the PP (incase ND VO does not update your address in ECAS). Once you see the status change to Decision made and if the adrress is still not updated then you need to visit the PO at least once in three days to check if the PP are delivered to the PO.

Please Note: The Indian PO might return the PP's to the sender after a week or ten working days incase it cannot be delivered to the addresse.

Dear seniors, can anyone of you give me a suggestion to the following:-

As you may be knowing that I had changed my residential address in Dec and accordingly sent several reminders to ND vo for change of address which they haven't done yet.

Today I spoke to the postman regarding a post I am expecting (passports) and the reply he gave me is that the passports will only come to the old address and the GOI rules do not permit diversion.

I don't know what to do about it, should I send NDVO one more reminder for change of address else my passports will go back to the sender.

Pls advise

There has been a deafening silence from the ND VO except for the shortlived hope which Grasshopper's PR Visa gave us.

There are so many people who have given their medicals and sent their RPRF + Passports to the VO, but there has been no news since then.

I am seriously starting to think that there's a possibility of the ND VO strictly processing the applications on the BF (Bring Forward) Date and not before that.

Can the people who have sent their Passports + RPRF provide their BF Dates so that we can see what is going on? Better still, can we have a BF Date Column in the tracker itself?

Just wanted to know if you guys had the same problem

1) 12 hours of power cuts a day
2) Strikes for no reason, have to walk to office
3) Scarcity of basic necessities petrol, cooking gas.
4) High inflation and taxation.

Anything similar.

If you ask me, I'm serving my notice period in my organisation and my last working day is around mid of May 2011, I havent admitted my son to next academic year as I did not want to waste 60K Rs as schooling fee in India , I have told my landlord that we would be vacating by end of May 2011 or by mid of June 2011.

So now you can guauge how desperate me and my family are to reach Canada.. :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

Hope by God's grace I would not be disappointed

By the way my DD is still not encashed, I have sent a case specific query requesting ND VO to confirm if my PP and RPRF DD was recieved by ND VO and is under VO safe custody.


Probably there are more crazy people like me in this forum desperate to be a PR in Canada

I was also worried when my bank draft was not encashed for almost 20 days. It turns out i had the wrong amount of 550 CAD instead of 490 for RPRF, sent the bank draft this monday. Hope everything goes well and the process is not delayed.

In the old system, when CHC requests for documents for processing, they set a BFD according to the time given to the applicants to send in their documents. So until a BFD is reached, the processing of the case is temporarily halted. I guess this is less relevant for Post June applicants as most of the required documents are already sent by applicants. They may stipulate these deadlines internally when requesting for any additional documents but no such thing was mentioned in the letter i got when my bank draft amount was wrong.
