For the poster who wanted to know about Category 2 applicants. Well, we are Cat 2 i.e working in Canada on TWP with LMO and this is supposed to be a priority processing stream, however we applied on 7th September and received PER 24th Jan and have been waiting ever since for an update. We haven't even had the "we have begun processing ....." extra line message on ecas yet. That is now 7 months since we applied.
This is very frustrating when we see Cat 1s from ND getting their Meds, PCC, Passport and RPRFcashed and even some October London applicants getting med requests when we are not even showing as IN PROCESS.
Something is going wrong somewhere with their system at London. Perhaps it is the fact that they keep on getting lumbered with applications from other VOs in other parts of the world or perhaps they are not as efficient as ND and Manila!
Either way, it is costing us a lot of money to live apart and my OH's company to pay for new advertising, not to mention the uncertainty and worry of having to reapply for LMO in case it runs out before PR is granted. Luckily, his company are very committed to him staying and will do everything in their power to make it happen.
So, all the expense and effort in getting a job may not be worth it unless, like us, your job is not on the list and you do not qualify to apply to Canada in any other way.
