Try to do as much in the way of practices as you can. There are some online practices for the listening etc.

The IELTS results usually take 2 weeks so you're looking end of April to get the actual results. This gives you 3 weeks to get them to CIO, so as long as you use a decent courier (should take about a week) you'll be fine

Best of luck and I hope you get the extra 2 points you need.

What a victorious weekend it was ! We received our medicals, RPRF and PPR this morning The date printed was 31st March

Hey Wayne ..
i think NDVO will start issuing visas from mid of april or maybe before that...coz pre june applicants in the other threads have been getting visas stamped in a months time after submitting MR and PPR ...so i guess security checks get started before we get our medical requests ...plus Shareen , Aaycee and i have got our DDs encashed already so i dont see any further delays ...maybe its being too optimistic but i am kind of expecting my visa in next ten days ....

Any body please update me when CHC will return my original documents (PCC,IELTS,original employment documents) as well as refund cheque of CAD 1250.My file was refused on 24-Mar-11 and still I didnot receive any of my docs.
I am in great fear frustration,depression and fear regarding my docs and my refund cheque.

sorry to hear about ur NER.
It depends on the country where ur application is being returned, some friends in this forum got their file after 3 months some within a month, CIO sends it through regular mail so check out the normal timeline to reach ur country from nova scotia via regular postal mail.
Hope it helps u..to have an idea when u will get it...regarding refund some experts here can give u more idea.
Could u also clarify if u got ur NER via email or thro online status? And when was ur application received by CIO? Just curious about the timeline...

No way you should be sitting for Ielts again. I have read your post and if you are able to book 2 consequent exam sittting, that will be of benefit dealing with the hard time finding a place for exam. Best of luck in the coming one

Thats my point as well. If its possible to register for two IELTS tests and you are able to afford them, I will advise you go for double deal to increae success rate and beat CIO deadline. Pls note that I do not wish to sound pessimistic or doubt your ability in the test.

Dear Jeniya

Let me clarify few things ...... then you can decide which way to go ..... Both points of Shareen holds good and I fully agree with her views .....
(1) I hope you have already contacted your DMP and informed about your MR for Canadian immigration. If not please do it immediately. Make sure that you are informing your medical condition to them.
(2) Inform VO immediately about your condition. You also have to decide about the child's nationality .... .... what I mean is IF a chance is given for you to immigrate - Will you shift immediately or will move after the child is born.
(a) If want to move immediately, then everything will be done as usual. Your file may be processed on an extra fast pace, not sure. You have to get a letter from DMP / your gynac that you can travel (between so & so time period). You also have to contact few airlines, confirming that they will allow you to fly (between so & so time period) from India to Canada. Remember the difficulties that you may have to face during the journey and till the time you get your Medical card in Canada. Ask other health related issues (in Canada) to someone who is settled there (friend/relative).
(b) If you want to move after the delivery, then you have to apply for extension of documents submission. Put a query to VO for further action. You have to apply for the PP of new born. Have to send updated forms, with your child's name included + copy of Birth Certificate + new PoF for 3 members+ all other related documents. You may also have to take care of PCC ..... these instructions will come from ND VO. Your file will get a BF'D till your EDD.

If everything goes well and you decide with (a) .... baby will be born as a Canadian citizen!! You don't have to run around and wait ...... except that you have to leave early. If you want to go with (b) then you have to wait and wait ...... add all new documents ...... + running around + worries + policy change that may occur at that time + tension related to that ........ basically we are unaware of the way VO will work at THAT time (& future!!) .... YOU are the better judge .... think logically and decide..... All the Best.
