When we checked our e cas (and we tried by E00 # or UCI or Receopt # ) , we didn't see any status updates.
I would think that e cas is more of a convenience feature without constant or accurate updates and should not be relied upon as a means of checking one's real actual file status.
My individual advise (you don't have to agree with me, take it or leave it ) is to allow CIC work on your file on it's own pace and not send inquiries unless it's must (like in case of lost file, necessary updates of any changes and etc.).
Best wishes to all!
