Application status unchanged since August 2012

Hi,

I will need your help!

I applied for PR under CEC and after a week I recieved an acknowledgement email stating that my application was received, complete and was sent for Process.

Till date the application status remained unchanged as "Application Received"

I am just worried if the paperwork got lost in the system as it has now been over 9 months now. Can someone who had that type of experience. please advise?

There are many August applicants who are still waiting for Medicals just like you.. don't worry, you should be getting something by a month or so.. as everyone's file is different from the other, its hard to say exact time.

If you are really curious, you can order GCMS notes to find out whats going on. But that also takes around a month to arrive

Hi Ked,

First thing - STOP WORRYING.

Its usual that CIC occassionally bothers to update our ECAS account. Honestly, im not joking. I received MR in mid May. I was never honored by CIC to see those 2 words which would cool one's soul..the 2 words of "In-Process". Yes 2013 applicants, laugh away, you guys are pampered well by CIC.

Instead they just updated my ECAS account with medicals received.

So perhaps they are already working on your case. If you've got AOR - you should send out the ATIP online request ASAP..if you haven't done so already.

If you are in canada you can send the application online absolutely FREE.

If you are outside - you can still do it - provided you'll need a friend to send it on your behalf and add $5. The procedure is explained in the link below. Its CIC's official website. Read the link carefully, go to the bottom, check on box, proceed. Keep in mind it will take 30 days.

I will keep in mind. I will wait for this month - if do not receive anything, I will definetely contact them. It also says not to call if my application has been less than 13 Month.

I have applied for myself and my dependent wife, may be this is why.

Dude...but you can atleast send the ATIP online request...you should do it right away...it will come back to you in 25-30 days in your email.
It can tell you if they have already started working on your eligibility or not among couple of other things.

As long as you have a canadian residential address and you can prove by uploading a doc - its FREE.

Dam yes I did grrrr... I dont know why it told me to pay $5 when I said I live in Canada (and gave Canadian Address!)
I am going to order one right now and see what I get....! Glad I have only paid $5 once

I thought under privacy act you will just get the scanned copy of your physical file , it will not show you the GCMS notes etc......

if you click on ATIP...then yes it will ask you to pay
