Thanks Talha ... I submitted my application on 3rd Oct 2011, Gerrys Karachi office. And I got admission in the MSS program of UBC.

Great!! Actually I want to ask if you are done with the medical? what happens in it, how the embassy contact you for medical?. Can you please share the details of the procedure.

hi embassy sends the passport back to you with the letter which says do the medical within 30 days from specified centres.
there is a thread on which these centres are available. refer to the following link for that. after medical u sent the passport back to embassy and ur medical report is sent directly to embassy by these centers.

Call for Medical

I filed my application on 3rd Oct 2011 through Gerrys Visadropbox. On 11th Oct 2011 I received email and SMS from Gerrys for the collection of passport/document received from CHC.

The documents which I received from CHC includes:
1. Letter from CHC asking for medical
2. Form: Medical Report: Section A Client Identification & Summary
3. List of designated Medical Practioner
4. Rates of Medical Examination
5. Passport

There are no other documents in it like (Acceptance Letter, Education, Financial etc)

Appointment from Karachi

There are two designated medical practioner here in Karachi

1. Dr. Roohina Sattar (Tel : (021)-32258848) (NMI)
2. Dr. Abdul Wakil (Tel: 0307-5103382, 0307-5103384) (IOM)

- I called Dr. Wakil on monday and lady on the phone offered me appointment date of 23/11/2011, so I decided to first check other doctor)

- After that I visited NMI because when I call NMI, person at reception told me to visit personally because they dont answer by call. Person at the reception of Dr. Roohina Sattar was giving me date for december. Then after telling him about student visa and start of classes and wait of 2 hours, he gave me date for 17th Nov 2011.

After Medical

- All the medical related reports will be sent by doctor to CHC.

- Passport and receipt will be sent through any of the visa related service like gerrys

...

I would suggest guys from Karachi to take appointment now.. So you don't have to wait too long. Else it may be possible that you have to go to Islamabad for fast medical.
