Whereas the rest of my colleagues in office can access it. Seems as if the embassy is doing some background check

Yar Hassan no background check is performed on Facebook account, sometimes some or many hundred accounts are facing problems your account can be one of them, so don't worry it will be ok.......

nothing to worry, was just excited anyway ive heard that they do get into the applicant's facebook, email etc accounts

No, they can't do this. It's violation of privacy act, they can't.

Inam is right, this is against the privacy act. But Inam, when it comes to Muslims/ Pakistani then there is no law

No, CHC must have a pre-approved Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for running all their checks and It is hard to imagine the existence of any such procedure of going through someone's personal mail and facebook account just for issuing a single visa. The security agencies do it but they also require an approval for that and this is done in case of threats to national security.

College students are not getting timely responses so you have to wait............

This is not the case, in USA the emails , phones and other electronic data is checked but other countries follow the law.........

hey guys why processing takes longer time after medical if everything has been verified by visa officers before that. It has been 11 days now since I have returned my passport and done with the medical. Do they review the case again or its processing that takes so long....and I have seen people saying in some other forums that medical isnt the confirmation of visa even if every thing goes alright...what u say guys

Well, it has been observed that atleast 30 days is taken by chc to issue visa after medical is done in most of the cases that is.

Since medical reports are sent to New Dehli and then to CHC ISB and then the VO once decides to issue visa i am sure that he has to go thru piles of paper work to issue the visa. In short! The process takes time!

CHC did not bother to call my employer to check my employment status so by using that as a yard stick you can judge your self how active CHC!

it will take 25 to 30 days , so don't worry.....

well have you guys seen someone bieng rejected after med??specially due to the financial reasons or country ties.
