Application returned

Hello All,

Our Outland application (wife in Canada and me in India) which was received on 23rd August was returned today.

It was returned coz of an error in the IMM5669 form.
We intend to resubmit again.

We had a few queries:

1. Do we have to repay the 1000$ processing fee ?

2. Since the day we sent out the forms, there are revised versions of some forms.
Are we expected to make a new application i.e download fresh copies of all forms and send a fresh bundle ?
OR
Do we send the bundle which they have sent back along with the rectifications (i.e fill IMM5669 alone and send with correct data) ?

Our outland application (husband in Canada, wife in Iran) was returned too due to missing divorce certificate (previous relationship).
1- Since Police Certificate is required and the one was sent before is expired now. Are we expected to provide an updated Police certificate or we can send back the old one?

You can try resubmitting with the current receipt but...

Since your application was returned (never processed), you can use the same receipt.

Ours was returned few months ago. I used same receipt Rxxxx xxxx , so far so good. She passed medicals. Dont know what is next? Mississauga or NDVO!

Would you mind sharing what kind of errors there were in IMM5669?

I realized that there is a UCI and Application number in CIC’s explanation letter on why they returned our application.
1- Should I use this info in updated forms? (IMM 5669 & IMM 5532)
Or I shouldn’t since our application is not submitted yet?

Also if there was a change in my last name,
2- Should I write it in IMM 0008, in question:
Have you ever used any other name (e.g. Nickname, maiden name, alias, etc.)?

1. Yes, write down the UCI number. They have created a file for you, but they still haven't begun reviewing your application. Think of it as though they haven't yet seen your application.

2. Yes.
